C 2 miles away from Old Quarter, and a mile away from Ga Hanoi, lies this big, green and spacious park, which surrounds the Bay Mau Lake. The park has multiple entry and exit points. It is well maintained, has two or three tracks in most of the park area ( including one right going right beside the lake ), some recreational spaces for activities like yoga and a few cafes in the premises. The whole lap around the park is about ~1.25 miles.

The park did look a bit dim at various stretches, but no criticism is intended by mentioning the same. Also, toilets seem to be limited, just 2, and one of them was smelling a bit. Water fountain was available at one of the places, and it also had some good flower plantations alongside it.

Overall, its a good park to come and have a walk or run. One can feel the fresh air when going around. There are benches to sit at regular points. It's open till 10 pm, and has no entry fee.

The biggest park in town.
The park offer green space, lots of tree and there is also a lake inside.
This is such a good place for jogging, walking and get some fresh air, away from the traffic and polluted streets out there.

For anyone traveling to Vietnam - I highly recommend you go to this park. Not touristy and a space where you can see locals playing sports, running with groups, fishing, boating, and enjoying the space. There are an array of activities to do from running around, sitting down at a cafe inside of the park, rowing on swan boats, painting pottery, playing sports, or just sitting and enjoying the view. It is a wonderful spot and very close to some delicious cafés as well! One of the best places in Hanoi in my opinion.

It's like Central Park in Hanoi. From here, you can see the Eiffel Tower in Hanoi, take a duck boat, take the tourist train, and you can do fishing. It is an interesting place to enjoy every things. It is one of the few precious places to jog in Hanoi as well.
A little unfamiliar, but a wonderful place where you can get a glimpse of the leisure time of Hanoians. Overall extraordinary park in Hanoi.

If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway from the hustle and bustle of Hanoi, Thong Nhat Park is the perfect spot! This serene park is filled with lush greenery, beautiful lakes, and a jogging trail. You can even rent bikes and explore the park’s hidden corners. You can park your bike or scooter at the gate. It is free to visit the park.

Amazing local markets! My friends & I were driving by when we noticed the markets out the window so we had our grab driver drop us off early & we were so happy we did! So many cute options for winter! Love love love! The park next to the markets was super lovely as well & had several kids out played. Would definitely recommend!

Awesome park!
Great to just walk around. Plenty of food and drinks around. Lots of yoga, aerobics, and tai chi. Good place for a date and good for a break from the city noise and traffic.

Beautiful and spacious park! Best one in Hanoi I’ve visited so far.

You can bring small dogs but not big ones. That’s perfect for my little puppy 😃

It's used to be my play ground and many others at our age. But need to change and remodel

at the far end of the old quarter, this park sits almost hidden from view behind the city trees and cars of main front street. only after crossing and walking along the border does on come to the entrance, which is on either side. there is an entrance fee of 20k VND (88¢). the park on the day i was there was empty except for about 20 other people at various places, which given the size of the park made it feel abandoned.

Really nice park not far from the city center. They ask me to pay 4.000 dong to enter. There is an abandoned theme park. And a big lake in the middle.

Probably one of my top 3 places in Hanoi. I love visiting this park and sitting by the lake to read. It's very quiet until 4pm when locals start exercising and the restaurants start to get ready. It's beautiful to walk by too. I highly recommend it.

A really well kept park, with an army of gardeners working away.
The lake is very large and for the middle of the city, it is only just one of many in Hanoi. The park is very peaceful when you are inside. As outside the city is just buzzing 24/7.
It costs 4000 dong to get into the park. But it is money well spent. Even though I told the woman on the gate that Ho Chi Minh would be turning in his grave if he knew that a peoples park was not free entry. :-)
