Phong Nha Amanda Homestay

A phenomenal stay for just one evening at Amanda homestay. We were greeted by the son of the family, who was equally entertaining as he was kind and considerate of our requests. We then met Amanda, the daughter of the family, who made us laugh on countless occasions by joining our pool game and showing us her amazing drawing skills. The mother of the family, my personal heroine, whipped us up food as late as 10pm, which filled our bellies after a long sleeper bus. I had a tote bag which was ripped, and the mother accepted my request immediately to fix it using a sewing machine I’d spotted in the background. A true heroine in my books. Would highly recommend for its quality of service, the food, and the beautiful mountainous views we had from our room.

I had an incredible stay at this hostel—it felt more like a hotel with its spacious layout and fantastic amenities. The pool was a delightful bonus, adding a touch of luxury to the experience. The food was beyond amazing, and the fact that it's run by a welcoming family made the atmosphere warm and inviting. The family went above and beyond when our scooter broke down; they promptly brought us a replacement at no extra cost. Offering a complimentary pickup from the city center for hostel guests is a thoughtful gesture. The son at the reception was exceptionally kind and helpful, providing top-notch service. The overall cleanliness of the hostel only added to the positive experience. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay! Five stars overall! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Nice place to stay. They picked us up in the city center where our bus stopped. Really good service. We got food even though it was a bit late, and breakfast had lots of tasty options.

We rented a scooter for the three days we were there, which made it easy to go everywhere.

Overall, a great place to stay in Phong Nha with really nice people. Definitely recommend it!

This homestay was one of our highlights of our trip in Vietnam. The family was very welcoming, with the main host being very helpful to book tours and being an all around great person. The food was also very nice. I would recommend this homestay to anyone staying in Phong Nha. It is a bit secluded from the city, but it is absolutely worth it!

Very nice and quaint place. They let us order all of our meals pretty much off menu and the prices were completely fair. Room was lovely, and it enabled us to take day trips around the city. The cows nearby also seem to like the pool so you may need to shoo them away so they don't drink the pool water. We got them more water when they came but well, that just attracted more cows.

If you are heading to Paradise cave you can take a shortcut from there through some backroads and get to cross a small village with a very rickety suspension/swinging bridge.

At that price, one of the best rooms I've had in Vietnam. Clean, spacious, modern, QUIET! Because it's away from the city center, you'll need a bike. The staff is very friendly and speaks English. The food portions are small but tasty. Affordable laundry service. I cannot recommend the place enough. Oh, and great sunset views!

The rooms are super big and comfortable. The aircon works pretty well.
The hotel is a bit out of town, which was perfect for us. It is super quiet and with a very nice view. They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner and it tasted very good. It is also possible to rent a scooter for 150k/day.
They picked us up at 10 pm and dropped us off at 9pm the day we left, whit no additional charge. We stayed 4 nights in total.
Check out is supposed to be at midday, but we asked for a late check out at 8pm and they agreed for 50k. It was great to take a shower and rest a bit before our 9-hour trip in a bus.

Loved everything about staying here! The family are so friendly and welcoming, Hue helped us organise a trip or a tour each day and gave her recommendations considering the weather! The house is just outside the town so they gave us lifts when we needed and we also rented scooters from them...they collected us from the bus stop and waited with us for the bus when we were leaving! Would highly recommend staying here, they treat you like family!

Great value for money. Clean rooms, decent food and Hue really helped us out during our stay by providing advice and arranging things. It's a bit out of town and only (efficient) way to get there is taking a motorbike, but that's probably only an issue if your stay is longer. I think that the common "dining" room would benefit from some music, decorations etc. to create a more cosy atmosphere. It looks quite sterile now.

Slightly out of town but it didn’t even matter! They picked us up at 4 am when our bus arrived and let us check in right after which was incredible. Breakfast was included and was great they give large portions. They provide you with information and have motorbikes to rent so you can get anywhere. Our bus left at 4 am the day we we’re leaving and they drove us there and made sure we got on! Amazing for the price you pay and so helpful and kind!

One of the best homestays we've been to in Vietnam in the past 3 weeks. Comfortable beds, high quality bedding. Very clean. Hot water. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast. We were originally meant to spend here 2 nights but slept so well that we extended by one night. Hight recommend

Very good homestay. New, clean, good service and chip price. The views from the roof are incredible. The homestay is five minutes away from the village by bike. The manager has been very friendly and has helped me in everything we need. If you make a reservation free taxi service from bus station. very recommendable

Best place ever. If you are going to Phong Nha, it's the place to go. It's brand new, pretty and very clean. Awesome spot just outside the city with an amazing view on the mountains and very peaceful. They offer you motobike if you need to go in town or you can eat there at a cheap price. They even have very low price on beers, water and sugary snacks. The breakfast is included and you can eat as much as you need. They help you to organize your trip to the caves, arrange bus pick up for leaving town and even pick you up at bus station. You can rent motobike at the hostel. The english speaking owner, T, and his family are lovely, very helpful and welcoming. And the prices of rooms are very cheap for the luxury you have. Our best spot in Vietnam for sure!

An awesome place to stay in the area, one of the best in Vietnam we've stayed so far. Staff is very nice and helpful here, food is tasty and the rooms are very comfortable. Everything is very clean and neat, and the views are gorgeous.

Amazing homestay, i was having a great time for relaxing at really nice SWIMMING POOL with nature mountain view. Staff is very friendly and helpful, Would definitely recommend the family dinner, it was an absolute blast with some good food and great people. This is the best place, more than expected . Definitely highly recommend.

Came to pick us at 4am from the bus station, really nice people, clean rooms, comfy beds.

We had an amazing time at this homestay! It truly felt like we were staying with the family. The rooms are spacious and clean. There are hardly any buildings around so regardless of where your room is, you get an amazing view! They have a rooftop patio to watch the sunset. Some of our favourite memories in Phong Nha!

The food at their restaurant is amazing! We LOVED the tofu and tomatoes dish, even though we are not vegetarians we would have gladly eaten it every single day. The portions are huge for the price. Make sure to ask if they have the family special going on when you are there! Breakfast was great offering pancakes with bananas, fried eggs, omelettes, etc. They also gave us each a banana. They have a little store on-site if you want to get some beers, drinks, etc. at night or snacks and cigarettes.

Their pool is clean and a great place to spend a hot day. Lounge chairs, etc. They have motorcycle and bike rentals for a great price. Also they have tons of pamphlets for all the tours that are offered in the area. Super helpful.

They offered to pick us up from Phong Nha city making it so easy to get to their place with all our luggage. They are outside of town, but its not that far for a bike ride or if you want there is a public bus that drives by hourly.

Wifi was great! Had no issues fast and can get it everywhere in the homestay.

We would definitely stay here again!

The staff here is incredibly nice and able to give lots of information about the area. The rooms are spacious and clean. I had the BEST banana pancake here too.
