Green Riverside Cosy Home

In a convenient location right by the river and only a few mins walk from a very good vegan restaurant, this hostel is a quiet retreat for those looking to explore the caves nearby. The owner Linh is lovely and goes above and beyond for her guests. You will be looked after and supported just give her a ring!

This homestay was absolutely wonderful. I spent four nights here and loved the vibe and the delicious family dinners. Our host Linh was incredible, so helpful and kind. It was great to sit down and chat to her about life in Vietnam. If you are looking for an authentic experience is Vietnam, this is it. It’s also great for meeting fellow travellers.

One of the best hostels i have stayed in in Vietnam!

The rooms are clean and the beds are really big and comfy! Plus the duvet is really nice since most hostels don’t give you anything more than a blanket.

The family dinners are amazing! And they make it super easy to meet new people if you are a solo traveler. My Linh, host and manager organises trips to caves and has all the information about the surrounding area (she was a tour guide for 5 years so no one knows more about phong nha than her)

My linh is definitely the best part of this hostel, her and her sisters are the most amazing women I have met in Vietnam!

We had a truly lovely time here at this homestay. Linh is the model host - so friendly and chatty (and speaks amazing English), we loved hearing about her life and family in Vietnam. She knows everything about the local area and can recommend all sorts of cave trips for any level. The family dinners and Vietnamese lesson were lovely and we had a great time meeting fellow travellers too. We’re recommending this hostel to all our friends!

I had such a lovely stay here and will definitely be returning. The host Linh was so friendly and made me feel so welcome in her homestay. She can speak fluent English so was really nice to find out about her life here. She can offer loads of activities, Tours and can even book your travel to the next stop! She also offers a family dinner and a lesson on speaking Vietnamese which is really fun. I will 100% recommend this place and will be returning. Thank you so much Linh for a wonderful stay

Great choice. I stayed for three nights and absolutely enjoyed it. Linh is a wonderful host and was very helpful with organizing tours and laundry service. I also recommend the family dinner.

Cozy place, Linh is very nice and very accommodating. We ended up staying 4 days, did a tour through her and booked bus tickets as well. The community dinner was very nice and she even helped with washing.

That said, for anyone planning it should be noted that she might discourage paradise cave, but we had the most amazing day going there our self. She definitely is trying to “sell tours” but it did at the same time feel genuine. Doing the adventure tours is cool, but it’s kinda intense.

Also the cleaning of the rooms was not great (we stayed in two different ones), hair was left from previous people at the shower, and the airconditioning wasn’t working.

Despite of this i definitely would recommend people coming!

Amazing Hostel. Linh is an incredible and hard working person who is more than happy to help you with any requests. The Family dinner was really tasty and very filling, with more than enough portions for all. Rooms were clean and facilities were great - The Hammock in the outside area gets bonus points as I spent a lot of time there personally! Would highly recommend to anyone thinking of visiting Phong Nha.

If you are in Phong Nha you have to stay at the green riverside cosy home! We had the most amazing stay here, Linh, the owner, is so incredibly nice! We actually booked the wrong dates when booking on hostel world but Linh was kind enough to give us a room without hesitation even though we arrived quite late. She used to be a tour guide so is really helpful when booking day trips or any tours you have in mind. I have spent the last month in Vietnam and have yet to have a better experience then the one I had with Linh at green riverside cost home!!!

Stay here. I’ve recommended it to anyone I bumped into on the way to Phong Nha and will continue. If you want a cave trip or jungle tour they’ll stop here to pick you up since Linh worked with all the guiding companies. She can give you real information on each one and help you book it as well. If you want an awesome family meal this place has that too. It’s the perfect epicenter for anything you want to do in Phong Nha.

We had a fantastic time staying here at green riverside cosy home. Linh was a fantastic host and went above and beyond for all of us staying there! She is an expert on the area, a super hardworking and lovely person to get to know and spend time with. The free breakfast and family dinners were great and the Vietnamese lesson was a fun evening activity! Really recommend staying here if you come to Phong Nha!! p.s get the pancakes for breakfast- they’re so good!!

Linh was a wonderful host and we felt very welcome there.
Everything was clean an the breakfast was delicious.
The house is near the river and we startet our tour into the national park there. We would definitely come back again.

If you visit Phong Nha, this is the place to stay. It’s a great hotspot to book your activities, meet people during family dinner, and have quality services like laundry and breakfast/dinner.

Linh is a super woman and will do everything she can to make sure you’re comfortable and prepared. She picked me up from the bus station herself when I arrived, and accompanied a group of people to the bus stop to make sure we all got on the correct buses. She also remembered all our names without reminder. Make sure to visit Linh’s cozy home!!

Linh the host is amazing and very helpful with booking tours and everything you need. Great views and overall good place to stay when in Phong Nha. Highly recommend.

Ling is a class act and a lovely touch. Had a great goose and gander through the area including duck stop, monkey bridge and hava valley. Family dinner was great but beware of Richard and Jesse, can’t take those 2 anywhere.

Such an amazing place to stay in Phong Nha. All the rooms and location are top notch, but Ms. Linh and her family set it apart from anywhere else. They make you feel like family, and Ms. Linh knows everyone and is so helpful planning organizing or offering advice for anything you want to do or want to go.

The host Linh is a lovely woman, who works really hard to make sure everybody is well looked after. Hostel is in a beautiful location, would recommend the family dinners!

Green Riverside, located opposite the river is a great home stay location in Phong Nha. It's a quiet area and a convenient walk to the center of town. Linh, who is the owner personally welcomed and took care of all the guests. She is warm and hospitable and it was a delight to spend time with her and her family. She recommended the right tours based on my interests and took care of the bookings. Linh organized a family dinner where we could meet all the guests and share our experiences while having home made food. She also went out of her way and dropped me off at the bus station. Overall a great experience and highly recommended!

Right from the time we booked the home stay, correspondence from Linh was top notch. She was in touch with us before we reached, and made sure she was available late night as well to check us in.
She also helped us pick the right trek and experiences to do in Phong Nha.

The room themselves were very comfortable. Linh had also upgraded our room as their was availability free of cost.

The location of the homestay is very ideal by the riverside. Looking over the mountains, which looks very beautiful in the morning with clouds touching them.

The main city centre and shops are also close by around 1km. And you can borrow bicycles for quick access to them.

Overall our stay, although short, was very comfortable and homely thanks to great hospitality by Linh!

Ms Linh was super helpful and kind on arrival. Got us booked into an excursion straight away, gave us food despite arriving quite late and helped us get a bus on our day of leaving. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, highly recommend!
