Areca Bungalow

Had an absolutely lovely time at Areca, I booked the wrong dates and we came a day early, literally didn't realize until I stepped off the bus. The staff were so accommodating that they instantly helped me find a place to stay. Our two nights there were fantastic and conveniently next to lots of amenities, we rented free bikes too and explored the town. The private Bungalows were a nice peaceful retreat. Would highly recommend, felt like a genuine stay with great food.

We came here for dinner and had a wonderful meal; the shrimps with lemongrass and chilli were super delicious, also the mango salad with shrimps was great! We couldn‘t resist to keep on ordering desserts and enjoyed the pancakes with banana and pineapple! Big recommendation!

Hey Travelers, Areca bungalows is very cozy place to stay. It is a home stay like a bed and breakfast. The place is facing the big river, and the bungalows are made of bamboo. Breakfast is good, they offer one item on their menu and a drink. One night we decided to eat a local dinner here and they prepare an open face grilled chicken with a side of rice, salad, and fruit. You must try if you stay here. The family is very nice. Areca offer bicycles for the renters. Thank you for the Areca’s family

Areca Bungalow is an awesome place to relax by the river. This place is lovely, the rooms are very clean with comfortable beds and incredible views. They offer you their kayaks to explore the river by yourself.
We loved our stay here. I totally recommend it.

We stayed just one night here but it was the best bungalow we had on our journey! The room is very clean and it has a nice, brand-new facility. The two owners are very polite and helped us with every problem we had. They picked us up when we arrived and brought us to our bus when we left. You can rent motorbikes for a good price as well.
Only recommendable!

We stayed 2 nights at Areca in order to go on a hiking tour and really enjoyed our stay.
Bungalows are new, very clean, with AC and WiFi. The staff are very nice, food and drinks are very good and reasonably priced, on top of that we met a lot of cool travellers who stayed there.
All in all highly recommended!

Perfect! After staying in many rustic places, this place was perfect if you want to stay in a modern glamping style pod, everything was clean, felt brand new and incredible views. I felt so comfortable and the hosts were so friendly and helpful, especially as I was staying alone. Definitely recommend doing the mud cave/zip line tour - it was one of the best things I’ve done. The breakfast was great, recommend the pancake and mango!

Rooms are clean and spacious. Staff are super friendly also. My favorite part is the views of the river and mountains!

We really enjoy our stay. We liked the location next to the river. & the very cute and helpful stuff. Everytime again. We can recommend this place a lot. :) they helped us a lot with the tours we want to book and arranged everything for us.

The situation to go to the caves are perfect.
The bungalow is big, the bathroom is clean.
The personal is very friendly and attend to you.
The enviroment of the situation of the hostel is the best. Very Nice.

We missed our chance to rate this great place on airbnb because we were still travelling and didnt know there was a time limit. Although located a little outside of the centre, they picked us up and rented out scooters for us to get around the park and the town.
Everything is clean, its good value for money and the bungalows are very cute. Would dwfinately recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to stay in phong nha

Stayed there with my girlfriend for one night, it was best place around the park and the river we found. Family is very friendly and helpful. Views are awesome and the bungalow was very nice and comfortable. We also went for a morning swim in the river
