Shop Merci Milo

This is one of my absolute favorite children’s shops! My 2.5 year old daughter and I both love visiting. It’s simply magic. Carol, the owner sources the most beautiful and playful goods from all over the world. I love her selection of European toys!! I recently did a pop-up at Merci Milo with my paintings and textiles. I loved the sense of community I felt that day from both her staff and sweet customers. I think this shop ignites the imagination of both parents and children. Do visit if you’re in the Portland area!!

GOD is in the details. Incredible toy Shoppe, beautifully curated and stocked with exquisite toys and wonders from around the globe. The details down to the custom tiles at the cash wrap to the vintage wonderland feel of the buildouts and vibe of the store is brilliant. You can find everything from the cutest stuffy to builder toys to magic, it has everything. Portland is lucky to have a shoppe like this here as it is a standout and offers a different take on a toy shoppe from all the others. Merci Milo should be on everyones list to visit. Bonus it is owned, ran, and operated by a woman of color.

I am so thrilled that Merci Milo has opened a location in Portland! I absolutely adored their LA location when I lived there, and it was such a nice surprise to see that they were opening up shop in the place I now call home. Merci Milo is nothing short of pure magic in the form of a store. The owner Caroline did such a great job curating so many treasures, and creating a welcoming environment for children and adults alike. As an Early Childhood Educator I also appreciate the wide variety of diverse and anti-bias toys and books that they offer. If you’re looking for a bespoke collection of toys and more, definitely pop into Merci Milo!

So thrilled to have this toy shop in Portland. This is where my childhood dream looked like. Love all the Parisian vibes they put together here. My son was so excited to see all the toys laid out ready to play! I personally obsessed with the book selections they have here. Worth a stop even though you don’t have kids!

Merci Milo is thee cutest shop, so warm & welcoming! Every corner takes me back to my childhood, it’s quite emotional actually. The rare toys I have always wanted as a kid are here, along with other thoughtfully selected toys & books. I was also fortunate to have met two of my favorite illustrators in person here, Carson Ellis & Jon Klassen. Bring the little ones or treat yourself because this shop is a dream for all ages :) Happy to have Merci Milo in Portland!

A gem of a store! A MUCH needed addition to Portland. This shop is hand curated and magical. Each item is placed in almost a vignette style making you feel as if you walked into a child’s room. The items range in price. I found gifts at both a $10 price and a $40 price with hundreds of items in between. The books are incredible and many remind me of my 80s childhood (like Strega nona). I loved the assortment of craft and art items and wooden toys. What’s more, this shop is female and AAPI owned. I will be doing all of my children’s shopping from here moving forward.

Friendly, adorable, and perfect! Carries stuff you won’t find anywhere else. If you enjoy stuffed animals and you’re unsatisfied with the usual big brand stuff, you need to come here.

Magical! Wonderful! I love love love Merci Milo! They have an awesome selection of quality heirloom toys. Huge selection of toys and clothes from Europe. Customer service is excellent. You get a response within a couple of hours from emailing. I recently had a missing package. I really wanted my Easter goodies to get delivered before Easter. The owner, Caroline, went above and beyond to get the package to me. She is amazing! She loves her customers and her employees (closes her store so her employees can get a break) <- how awesome is that. Seriously check this store out it’s a gem!

Merci Milo is the most magical shop full of the widest range of uniquely adorable toys for children of all ages. I’ve been shopping online since it’s inception, & I continue to find delightful new products as the owners are always sourcing new goodies for the shop making repeat shopping enjoyable for us. My daughter loves everything that I find for her at Merci Milo, and I’m never disappointed by the selection or the prices. The owners are so lovely & personable, and they are always there to help. If you are lucky enough to live near this special shop in Portland, stop by for a visit, you & your kids will be in for such a treat!

I was so glad to hear that Merci Milo was opening a location in Portland. I took my son there and we both loved it so much. It is carefully curated and has the absolutely cutest toys ever. Everything is adorable. The decor is impeccable. This store has something for everyone and the owners and workers are so kind, knowledgeable and helpful. Looking forward to our next visit.

I love Merci Milo! They have so many high quality and unique toys—you can tell that so much love and attention has gone into curating their selection of items. The store always feels warm and inviting and they’re always helpful, but never pushy, which I also love. Being a long time customer of theirs for the children of friends and family, I’m so excited that I now finally get to shop for my own daughter here.

A beautifully curated shop with high quality and unique toys. If you love toys you will love Merci Milo. And it’s special- the toys are special, the wrapping and packaging are special, the branding and selection are special. There’s obviously a lot of love and care put into this business. Occasionally you can find better prices for certain things on Amazon, but I would rather pay a few bucks more and support a small family owned business. I read a review that said the toys are overpriced but I haven’t found that to be the case. I’ve only interacted with the shop online but have made purchases multiple times a year for around 4 years and have always had very good experiences. I highly recommend!

Shop Merci Milo is my favorite shop to buy unique gifts for my daughter. Everything I have purchased for her stays in her toy (and accessory!) rotation even as she gets older. The vintage books are great too. People always ask me “where’d you get that?!” about the things I’ve purchased from them. The owners curate a delightful, fun and ever changing selection of toys and books and are beautiful, kind and thoughtful people as well!

Love this toy store. I've only shopped online, but it was a great experience. The toys came quickly and just as they were presented to be online. The selection is so unique and special--really nowhere else like it. They have great taste and make it so easy to find anything magical and special for your little ones.

I’ve followed this shop as an online favorite for some time, so I was thrilled when they opened a Portland location! One of the most beautiful stores I’ve been in with such a fun selection of toys. They have a nice variety of price points if you’re looking for smaller gifts and books or if you’re looking for a really special piece.

The sweetest shop with thoughtful gifts and surprises for little ones. I came on the opening day and met the owners and could tell how much they care about what they do, such a pleasure!

A true treasure trove of unique and heirloom toys from all around the world! The items they carry are so well curated and I always feel giddy when I purchase gifts for friends and family from this store, knowing both parents and kiddos will be pleasantly surprised by the one-of-a-kind gifts! I visited their southern California store and had the most wonderful and genuine conversation with Jason, the owner and Milo, the darling behind this wonderful store, was so sweet to play with my toddler. The sweetest family :) I just moved from NorCal to Portland and am sooo over the moon that I now have access to this amazing shop! ❤❤
