Cracker Barrel Grocery

I was biking home from the beach, and I stopped in for a snack. I’d never been here before. I grabbed a few prepackaged items and went to the counter. Only then did I notice the warmer full of fresh baked goods.

The clerk must’ve seen me drooling over the piping hot calzones, and asked if I wanted some. I said “I wish I’d seen them first!“ The clerk rang me up, and then gave me two of the mini-calzones for free! I think it was close to the end of the day, and they knew they weren’t going to sell out. But it was still such a kind gesture!

After biking for hours today, the warm meal tasted worlds better than a couple dry energy bars. I’m not gonna say the mini-calzones were gourmet, but they far exceeded my expectations. The crusts were tender and deliciously flaky, and the sauce was savory and flavorful.

tl;dr I love this cute lil’ mom-and-pop shop. Awesome proprietors, yummy grab-and-go baked goods, excellent location!

Super nice, local family owned place. Yes, it does it get packed, both the bathrooms and store. But it is a part of the experience of Sauvie for me. I always meet chill people to talk to in line and they often have bathrooms outside you can use without purchase.

Love this little market, its at the start of your hike or hunting trip or beach trip. you can get your parking pass here as well as snacks and some hot case items too. The owners are awesome always very nice and helpful even through the summer beach rush!

Lived on Sauvie for 2 years and always stopped here when in need. Great selection of items; there's a little bit of everything. Drinks are always cold; hot food is decent. Owners are super nice. A lot of negative reviews about linking to the restaurant, but it says grocery in the name. They don't affiliate themselves with the restaurant.

It's a good little grocery store, and it is the only one on Sauvie Island. There are some ready-made hot foods in addition to usual convenience store choices. Owner has also provided a nice covered area with picnic tables outside. There's a large parking lot next to the store makes it easy for local farm workers to pull into with semis and farming trucks. A porta-potty is also available for customers in the lot.

Great little market only one of 2 on the island, been there for quite a long time. It's the hub for parking passes, snacks, bait, and small gear for your day trip. Hot deli here as well.

It's a great place. My girlfriends sister really had to make pee pee come out of her body and the friendly staff kindly obliged. Thumbs up to cracker barrel grocery.

This place is a delight! I always stop here before going to the beach or The Pumpkin Patch. Deli food, snacks and lots of beverage options! The owners have a good sense of humor as well.

I've never been here, just trying to balance out the 1 star reviews from idiots who are reviewing it that way because it's not a restaurant. It says it's a grocery store, not a restaurant.

Only place on the island for getting snacks and drinks for the ride. The people who work there are always nice.
