Village Scoop Ice Cream

Awesome place to go for a nice scoop or two! Great flavors, great service and a really nice atmosphere. Prices were very reasonable and everything we got tasted great. My wife got the brownie sundae, she said it was amazing. I got 2 scoops in a cup, one was Totally Turtle and the other was Salted Caramel. They were both incredible and I highly recommend! Would definitely come back!

We were visiting from NH today and decided to have our usual start-o-the-season ice cream at Village Scoop in York. We were skeptical since our NH favorite sets a high bar.

Well, we were pleasantly surprised! If we lived locally, this would be our go-to!

My go to is chocolate chip with chocolate jimmies. The jimmies actually had chocolate flavor in addition to texture and the chocolate chips were a good dark chocolate!

The chocolate dipped waffle cone is a fav of mine, which unfortunately our usual place does not have. The cone although good tasting had a taste to it....it is either flavored a bit or this batch of cones had too much almond extract type of flavor, but it was good but a "flavored" cone is not needed with ice cream, IMO.

I prefer an outside window set up rather than having to go into a store front for an ice cream cone but that would not keep me away from this ice cream shop!

Lovely clean ice cream shop with courteous staff in a quiet picturesque town. This homemade ice cream is delicious. Love the chocolate chip, blueberry pie, and raspberry chocolate chip. This is always a must stop when in the area

The nice lady who was in charge was the nicest ever! She took our orders very patiently and served very fast! Prices were really good for the portions. Delicious ice cream! Don’t forget to try death by chocolate and TOTALLY TURTLE!

Had amazing ice cream here! The waffle cone was on the thicker side just FYI. Each of our flavors were a 10/10!

We found this to be one of the best & creamy ice cream we've had in the State of Maine. People working behind the counter were amazing. The sprinkles on the ice cream looked as if they rolled the scooped ice cream in a bowl of sprinkles. Waffle cones are so fresh and crunchy, it makes the whole experience worth it. Just loved it, please don't change a thing.

Pleasant ice cream shop in center of town with convenient hours. Great menu of flavors. Inside and outside seating for your enjoyment. We are frequent visitors.

Amazing ice cream and also AMAZING PORTIONS! My wife and I were most pleased and managed to finish our respective purchases...but WOW! Didn't eat again until late, late dinner! Highly recommended!!

The Village Scoop Ice Cream is a great little ice cream shop in the York Center. It has a good variety of ice cream, frappes, smoothies, and other treats. The staff are friendly and the ice cream is delicious. Definitely worth a try if you are looking for an ice cream place in the center of York.

Yummy ice cream! Staff is great. Ice cream cake I ordered for my daughter's birthday was made to order and adorable. I am not usually an ice cream cake fan but this one was delicious!

It was the first REALLY nice day of the spring and daughter and I were off on one of our weekend adventures. After a full afternoon of exploring the sights of coastal Kittery and York we swung through York Village only after taking a wrong turn. I was planning on going up through York Beach to stop and get some ice cream. Luckily I saw the sign for the Village Scoop Ice Cream. We immediately pulled into an open parking spot and hopped out of the car. The shop is located in the basement of the building, just go around to the left and then down the stairs. It was fairly busy and there was only one women working at the time. But she steadily and pleasantly took care of each customer at a time. After receiving our order we turned to go and I realized that I didn't have my car keys on me. A quick run up to the car confirmed my fear. I had locked my keys in the car. The woman working at the Village Scoop Ice Cream shop kindly helped me out by letting me borrow her phone. After we went out to the front of the shop to wait, the woman came out to let me know AAA had called her back and that they were just 10 minutes away. While waiting for AAA, my daughter said her "Death by Chocolate" ice scream was awesome. So, the Village Scoop Ice Cream shop was a great find!

Awesome, us locals who live here like it even more between August and May. York needs another ice cream place! Tip* park at the library and walk over, unless you can walk there or live in York and know where to park, it can be hard to find parking. 🌞

It was our second time ordering Ice Cream from here and it was just as delicious as the first time!

You get your money's worth at this establishment. We went when it wasn't busy so our order was taken as soon as we decided on what flavors we wanted. We can't wait to go back next summer.

Great ice cream and service. When my grandchildren come to visit, they practically hang out their car windows looking to see if the flag is flying. Then we all head down there, usually by foot, for a treat.

Great ice cream selection and even though they were very busy when I went, they were super nice and not cranky.
