Lobster In The Rough

What a neat find! Clam strips, lobster roll, scallops, and hot dogs were all good. Lots of fried food but very tasty. Live music, outdoor games, and plenty of space to sit, and for kids to run around.

Have nothing but great things to say about The Rough. The atmosphere is so fun and lively. There is music, corn hole and other games that the whole family can enjoy. The food is also fantastic and there is a huge variety of options. I had my wedding here last summer and they truly made everything I wanted my big day to be, happen. I am so happy today is their opening day and can't wait for a fun summer.

Our favorite takeout seafood place was packed so we drove further north to look for another restaurant. We accidentally found lobster in the rough - it was set back a ways off the road. We had never heard of this place so our expectations were low. However, we were pleasantly surprised as the fried seafood was excellent. Good quantity of food for the price and fast service. The fish was fresh and tasty. Lots of picnic tables both in and out of the sun. We will definitely be back soon.

The food was great, service was great, live entertainment was really great! I'll go back anytime, especially when Among The Living is playing! Nice atmosphere. 3 Horseshoe pits, corn hole games and plenty of outdoor seating. The semi-outdoor bar was cool. I love the fire pits the most. A great place to be on a nice day. My wife is a tough critic when it comes to seafood, and she loved the lobster rolls.

A true outside experience amongst the trees and pavillion. Large outside bar area under a pavillion , usually a band, plenty of space for kids to play, many corn hole game set up through out the venue and corn hole and bocci ball tournaments for entertainment. Lobster dinners on sturdy paper plates and various other fried seafood dinners are available. No bugs just lots of outdoor fun !! Try it you will enjoy with kids or not with kids, plenty of space to enjoy.

If you like outdoor dining with more of a take-out style service, then this is for you! The food is good, although maybe not the healthiest, as it is pretty much all fried. They do offer a good pulled pork! The bar is well stocked and even offers a gluten sensitive beer! The atmosphere is family-friendly with a few outdoor games to play and a designated smoking area.

Food and beverages were fantastic and the prices are good. Enjoyed the fun engaging atmosphere... Live music, Cornhole, horseshoe, etc.

I've been coming to the southern coast of Maine for YEARS and I always drove by this place... well shame on me. On a whim we stopped here on our way back down the coast at the end of our trip in September. We travel with our dog and it's hard sometimes to grab food. So we planned on just eating in the car but, while they do not allow dogs into the fenced in outdoor restaurant area, they do provide some picnic tables just right outside the fence where we were able to sit with her and enjoy some really DELICIOUS food. My fish sandwich was phenomenal and the housemade chips are ridiculously good. Our dog loved the hot dog (I sneaked a bite before I gave it to her and it was so good as well). The prices were amazing and just overall it was exactly what we were looking for. We will DEFINITELY be back the next time we are up there.

Great atmosphere, yummy food, live music and fire pits... recipe for good times. Definitely check this place out if you’re in town.

Awesome outdoor venue lobster in the rough, reasonable prices, games, entertainment, great drinks and bartenders, hosted trivia games, great beers, a lot of fun all in one spot

Very chill and relaxed atmosphere. During the day it's great to bring your kids since they can run around the grounds while you enjoy your lobsters and a cold brew/cocktails. At night it transforms into an adults only campfire hangout spot with live music.

Cant say enough good things about the staff, very friendly and welcoming. The price is competitively lower than other places. Definitely give this place a try next time you are nearby on your trip, you will not regret it.

Awesome Seafood & BBQ good beer like the atmosphere and they had a live band playing

Outdoor bar with a good selection of beer and cocktails. We didn’t get any food but the menu looked enticing and the food looked really good. There were also outdoor heaters that were great to have on a crisp night. The best part were the outdoor lawn games. There was corn hole and 3 bocce ball courts which we played a couple rounds of bocce on. Live music was also being played all night that was enjoyable. The Truly Raspberry and Lime was a hit. The atmosphere and service were both a 10. As out of towners, we definitely would go back if we are back in the area!

Fantastic, the best lobster dinner I have ever had. The French fries are to die for and the lobster was sweet and perfectly cooked. The service was quick and friendly. The steamers were great but a little sandy but were tender and cooked to perfection. It took almost 2 hrs to get here but it was worth it.

Great place for large groups, kid friendly, laid back, live music, full bar, and large menu. This place is an outdoor restaurant and bar with lots of room and games for kids to play. They are only open Thursday - Sunday. We enjoyed a lobster roll, clam chowder, grilled chicken sandwich and two soft drinks for about $40.

There are no words for lobster in the rough that can describe the awesomeness of that place. We literally drove 14 hours so I can go to my favorite restaurant in the world. The most juiciest lobster you will ever have. The scallops are mouthwatering. The staff there is kind and goes above and beyond. I am very thankful that my family got to experience this restaurant that means so much to me.

Lobster, lobster lobster. Get the two for one special on lobsters and thank me later. Nice place to relax with the family and/or friends. Always seems to be an event going on as well. Will definitely return.

Great open outdoor atmosphere! My family comes here for a reunion every year. Year after year we come back because we can stay and hangout as long as we want. Cornhole and bocce ball is set up. Food is a lot more expensive this year (just like everywhere else) so not as much was sold. Tend your own fire pits in the front and back. See you next year!

Was driving through Maine and seen this little whole in the wall on a roadtrip. Very good food and very nice people. Got to try our very first whole lobster and it did not disappoint. Also got to try my first whoopie pie. The bar was Also cool with bunch of drafts and they were doing a trivia might which was cool too.
