Fair Game

I'm a huge fan of Fair Game, and try to spend money supporting my friendly local game store whenever possible.

As a Dungeon Master for my D&D group there's a great array of official content, third party sources, and minis for my game. As a parent, I'm thrilled by their large selection of games age appropriate for my 3 year old. Every time I walk in their staff are friendly and helpful, and it's an excellent environment for the kids in the area.

Can't say enough positive things about the place!

I went here for the first time with my friend, and we really enjoyed ourselves. The staff was very kind and welcoming, and explain the games to you well when you're sitting down to play or even if you're interested in one to buy. The staff is also LGBTQ+ friendly which is awesome to see. Overall just a very nice and welcoming space, would come back if I'm in the area again!

This is a hobby shop / gaming store in LaGrange Illinois. My buddy shops here on occasion and so we stopped in as I love these types of products as well. For people like us there are just so many things to see. They have games of all different types including some for younger people. My friend found Bob's burgers Monopoly and was considering buying it when they found some dungeons & dragons products that they wanted more. It was a tough decision but Bob's will be the next visit there. I was impressed with the varied collection of games and products that they had. In the end I only made a small purchase, a pack of Magic the Gathering Universes Beyond / The Lord of the Rings Tales of Middle Earth booster cards. I don't play the game but I do enjoy the artwork. This is totally the store that would be a danger for me if I lived up here. I would probably be in shopping once a week. A very worthwhile visit.

Our favorite local game store. The staff is always friendly and helpful and the selection is great.

Great selection, awesome staff. First time visiting. The first person we spoke to was super personable and let us roll almost all of the dice in the case. We were also helped by a woman who was extremely passionate about the games they sell. All in all it felt more like talking to old friends rather than a customer service interaction.

So I unknowingly came to this store in search of some uncommon sized sleeves to protect some old loose Pokemon packs. What I discovered was an incredible store. Merchandise were neatly organized, not cramped, and very appealing to the eye. I met Tom at the front register being as friendly as can be and is a very enthusiastic individual. I suspect he is a DnD player and is probably one of the best game host in the world. I'm not too familiar with DnD but I watched Strangers Things so that's basically my entire knowledge. He really brings the life into the game. That sort of thing. This side trip has been entirely worth while and is the highlight of my day. I'd definitely want to support local businesses like this gem because you won't get this kind of experience at big stores.

I have been going to Fair game for awhile now and I can for sure say this is my favorite game store. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly and are happy to assist with recommendations. One of their employees Dave always greets us with a smile on his face and is always happy to have a conversation. If you play MTG and like to buy random packs like I do this is the place to go!

My partner and I had a wonderful experience at Fair Game in La Grange.

We walked in and Dara immediately asked us if we wanted help, but it was clear they would not be pushy if we didn't want it. There were kids playing Magic at a table and some folks at the counter talking deck building strategies, it felt very much like a local game shop where folks come for community.

We gave Dara a very eclectic mixtures of games we liked and what we like in games and they instantly had picked a number of games, walked us through how they played and why we might like them. They were also very welcoming and knowledgeable about other opportunities to get involved in DnD groups or game nights at the store.

We walked out with two game, one we haven't played yet, but the one we did play was a great suggestion and satisfied my need to "win" and "play strategically" and my partner's desire for a game that was aesthetically pleasing, fairly simple to learn, and able to find enjoyment in things other than winning.

Big props to Dara and Fair Game. I hope to come back soon.

The store also have a used game shelf, and it was hard to resist the urge to buy LotR Risk for five bucks!

Great facility. Wide selection. Fun experienced staff who are sociable. Clean, fun and worth the time and money. I keep coming back for my board game, Magic the Gathering, and DnD needs. 5 stars is not high enough to rank this place and staff.

Wonderful staff and wonderful people! I've been running weekly D&D games here for the better part of going on six months now and I am so glad I've found such an amazing store.

The staff (each and every one of them!) are nothing short of incredible. I've made so many friends with this store as the catalyst and I couldn't be happier that this place exists.

They also do amazing support for community clubs such as with Lyons Township school!

My sister and I stopped in to pick up a few Christmas gifts, and the clerk there, I believe his name was Graham, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the games. He was able to show us many different games until we found the perfect ones for our gifts. Great atmosphere, helpful clerks, and excellent experience all around!

I am so glad I found this place. Fair game its name says it all. They are fair with their prices, they welcome their customers with open arms. They are so knowledgeable when it comes to their products. The owner and employees are so respectful to me when I walk in there, they make me feel very welcome and special and happy to serve me. I am also equally respectful and very happy to be in the store and feel so welcome . I have spent a pretty good penny there and it was all worth it. LaGrange's little secret game store. Great selection of every game you can think of. If you dont know how to play a game or not sure if you might like it, hust ask the super friendly and helpful staff. Super knowledgeable.

Had a great experience with their employee Graham! The place is full of amazing games for all ages. They have a lot of Magic Cards. They also host a lot of events for the community! A perfect small business to shop at.

First visit. Clean, organized, lots of variety. Dara was great, listened to them guide different people through gift choices on a very hectic Small Business Saturday.

Incredible selection of games. You can come in and try out pretty much any title before you purchase. If they do not have something in stock they are usually able to get it quickly. Lots of events and players gatherings as well.

I am a huge fan of this shop! With the newer location being closer to downtown I'm glad to be able to swing by on the weekend. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help. Even through the quarantine they've found a way to continue community building and providing high quality service. It's worth your time to buy your games and gaming accessories here and not from Amazon.
