This is the best Nijiya Market store I have been to. Their meat, seafood, and deli sections are double the size of my local Nijiya Market. Lots more items here than other places. The meat and seafood had lots of options and high quality. Would recommend coming to this Flagship store for all your Japanese food products. Better than the local Tokyo Central.

Delicious place to have lunch. I love a supermarket that also has a kitchen for fresh hot foods! When they have sales, the discounted items are a great deal. All the employees are very courteous and the store is very well kept.
The price of the groceries reflect the city’s demographics….

Today I had the #20 Tonkatsu Ramen along with their Curry Croquette. They use flour noodles which taste great and fresh (I’m picky and these noodles were quality)! Not only that but they also had a flavored egg, tasty n crunchy bamboo shoots, very umami packed and thick seaweed, and wonderfully charred chatsu pork.
Their soup has the right level of saltiness and sweetness… honestly better than those ramen places in downtown! I had a very happy lunch :)
The prices are great but you may want to choose add ons or a second portion if youre big like me. I was highly satisfied!

Large clean and great pricing on sushi. Especially the sashimi kaisen chirashi: 3 pieces of sweet shrimp, 2 pieces of tuna, 2 pieces of octopus, 1 whole scallop cut into 2, 1 squid, 1 yellowtail, ikura (salmon eggs), a shisho leaf, and sushi rice underneath all for $11.99. Produce is higher than other places. The small food court and bakery are a plus

To go Sushi at this Nijiya is DA BEST. The quality is far much better than the other Nijiya in DTLA and Sawtelle. The chefs here know what they are doing. Look at these Tuna rolls!! Big solid bright red of bluefin tuna, and tastes even better than what it looks. Bravo to whoever is doing the job right and thank you 🙏

High quality fresh organic makes Nijiya Market the Whole Foods of the Japanese markets. Large verities of sushi and fresh prepared meals to take along with you or if you can’t wait just warm up using the on site microwave, have a seat either inside or outside and eat away. Also do the same ordering off the menu, nothing fancy, noodle and rice dishes that are made with fresh ingredients that you can taste and best of all priced right.

Small Japanese grocery store. Has excellent bento and cakes. If you stop here, be sure to pick up Gochiso magazine. I love the new recipes they put out quarterly.

Fast service. Clean restrooms. Excellent selection of Japanese products. They have both indoor and outdoor seating for the Cafe. The Cafe has a very nice selection of dishes for lunch.

Great selection and terrific takeaway selection. Am not sure what time they begin marking down sushi in the evening, but perhaps other reviewers have covered this.

I wish they opened a store in OC, they make best pre made bento type of food and the pastries, to me other Japanese stores like Mitsuwa or TC are a bit Americanized, salty and not as fresh. (I'm Japanese so my standard is a bit high I guess) Just a note, this store sell mainly food not other goods like stationeries or cosmetics.

Great authentic Japanese market. Quaint. Reasonable price. Get fresh seafood and meats you can't get at big grocery stores.

Went to look for matcha powder and they have TONS of options. I went to Tokyo central a week later since it was on my way and I was disappointed after knowing all the options here at Nijiya.

I shop at their other store on Sawtelle in West Los Angeles frequently, but this store is amazing! It's about three times the size. I get a lot of stuff here, from organic tofu from their own farm, different kinds of fresh fish that are delicious, sushi rolls, and all my Asian ingredients. They have their own eggs with golden yolks that are delicious. When it's not the peak of growing season for local produce, their produce is excellent also. Nice people, places to sit, and they also have cooked food. If I lived closer to this store I'd be here at least twice a week. I can't recommend this place highly enough.

It is a small little Japanese store where you can buy fresh fish and meats and veggies and fruits and other Japanese items. They also have hot foods and a place to sit and eat

Nijiya is my favorite place to get all things Japanese. Whether it's seasonings, drinks, ingredients, rice, premade meals, etc. All Nijiya locations are great, but the Torrance location in particular has the best selection of premade foods in my opinion. Everything is reasonably priced and I highly recommend.

Aside from the usual grocery items, it has a wall of really good prepared food, bakery and desserts for lunch or dinner. You can reheat your food and have lunch there too. Food is good and priced reasonably.

You can buy Sujiko and Japanese fish here.
And cakes are very similar to cakes in Japan.
