Was in town for a work trip and found this store! The people that work there are fantastic and helpful and the community is wonderful too. Prices were reasonable too. The bulk selection was great and the availability of space to play and pod up was fantastic. Thanks for making a long work trip much better!

Highly recommend this place! Was visiting in town for work and needed a place to play commander! They have a dedicated commander night on Wednesdays. The turn out is pretty good! The owner is super friendly very welcoming and informative. Product prices are fair! The majority of player base is really awesome! Wish I was in town longer so I could come back to play again!
~note rule 103.3: After the starting player has been determined and any additional steps performed, EACH PLAYER SHUFFLES THEIR DECK so that the cards are in a random order. Each player may then shuffle or cut their opponents' decks. The players' decks become their libraries.~

I was visiting Davenport coming from cedar rapids and decided to check NerdHQ out. They sell singles and I was looking for a pretty hard to find card. When they searched their inventory and saw they didn't have one in stock, one of the workers there disassembled a deck and took out the card I was looking for out of their own collection. Ive been looking for this card for such a long time and I'm incredibly greatful and would recommend to anybody!

Wonderful customer service, top notch. For some context, my order was canceled due to an error with the website and stock numbers being incorrect. They issued a full refund. After contacting the store, and after further searching they sent out the card free of charge. I'm amazed by their commitment for customers. Will keep them in mind for further purchases in the future. Thank you so much!

Long story short, I suffer from intermittent nosebleeds due to medical issues. It just so happened when we had to go to the UPS store next to these guys. I ran in and asked if I could use the bathroom to get the bleeding under control and the gentleman pointed me in the direction without hesitation. Got the bleeding to stop, and when I came out, the gentleman asked me I was okay or if I needed anything. I explained that I have high blood pressure issues and he completely understood. He asked if I was okay or needed anything and I said no I'm okay now.

But I just wanted to thank you to these guys for being understanding, caring, and friendly. Thanks guys so much, I really appreciate it.

As for the kind of business they have, I'll probably send my husband over cause he's a huge D&D fan also!!!

I have never posted a Google Review before. However, love this place! EXSTREMELY helpful, kind, and patient with me as I get back into MTG. Willing to sit down with me a talk about the game and ask questions to help build and flesh out my up and coming deck. The patrons that are there are equally friendly and helpful. An excellent little community of friendly "nerds." I am proud to be among their ranks, and Nerd HQ love what you are doing and how you are doing it. Keep it up and I will keep coming back!

Our family loves this place! We were looking for a place for our son to play D&D as a “newbie” and Matt was so helpful and welcoming, I knew we’d found the right spot! I feel like this is a great environment for all self- proclaimed nerds to find their place. Matt, the owner, is great to deal with and I appreciate that he’s provided a place for everyone to feel comfortable. Thanks Matt!!

I don’t know where to begin to say how great this place is. Like it’s just a great place. I’ve been wanting to get back into Pokémon and an employee took the time to play a refresher game with me and taught me about all the newer stuff, free of charge. (like most I played back when I was little when it was the original base set). You can order custom play mats, retro video games, TCG, board games etc. The staff is SECOND TO NONE! How they treat their customer base is beyond reproach. Whoever owns this store did a great job at hiring and should do whatever they can to keep that staff.

Nerd HQ is simply amazing! I love love love the community they have built. They make sure everyone who comes through the door is treated like family. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. They aren't looking to make a sale they are looking to make you happy. This is my go to gaming store.

First time walking into this place with my friends today. Must say didn't really have much expectations tbh. But as soon as I walked in I loved the vibe and the look of this place. The pictures don't really do it justice. There's quite a bit to do. Plus its fairly new establishment and growing. There's board games, consoles, cards, some mini figures that Ive seen and etc. The owner is really friendly and knowledgeable! He is very accommodating and taught us all how to play a new found favorite board game lol. Had the most fun we all ever had. It's definitely a cool chilling place for gamer, nerds, etc

Honestly the nicest people ever. I also can guarantee you that all packs bought here are genuine by the pulls that some of my friends and I get from packs and other items bought at Nerds HQ.
It is also very clean in there with many vending items that are priced fairly (not a huge upcharge for convinence like you may see at other shops).
They have individual cards as well and are usually very willing to buy cards at a reasonable price.
I'm sure I'm missing some features in this review but overall it is definitely worth going to if you are into card games, video games, dnd, etc.

Great place to but various CCG product. Also have available space for tabletop gaming. Snacks and drinks. Owners are incredibly nice.

These guys are top notch. Knowledgable, helpful, patient, encouraging, and they are super active in the community. And as a big time nerd, this is where I feel most welcomed and celebrated for that nerdiness. I love being part of the RPG family here.
