Found some hard to find M4 * 4mm screws here and they were just down the street from me. These are not widely available online, Lowe's and Home Depot showed that their smallest length was 8mm and many of the online orders I placed were cancelled due to their associates not being able to find the screws.

Friendly and nice staff! I was in and out of there in 10 minutes! $10 minimum for card purchases.

Best selection of fasteners in all of the south bay. The staff is always extremely helpful and has helped me find very specific pieces of hardware many time. This is the only place I'll ever buy my hardware and fasteners at due to the attention by the employees and the incredible selection of fasteners

If you're looking for any nut, bolt, screw, washer etc. This is your place. It has everyone ever made just about. I've never seen a shop more well stocked than this one.

This is the only place i can find Ms.Stewarts liquid bluing. Love it nice staff. Friendly and prices seem decent. Kinda difficult to find.

Love their hardware bits and bolts section, always have the strangest hard to find hardware their, with their huge drawers of nuts and bolts

One thing about these guys that stood out to me, they will offer help and ask what your looking for. The big guys - Home Depot , you'd have to find help if you get one that'd be willing to stop to assist you. Those guys are everywhere in the store but you'd be asking yourself if they are the right person to ask for help. But most of the times, I just get out my home Depot app to find what I need .

So there's a great service you'd get from Ace that you won't get from Home Depot .

This place has the best selection of nuts/bolts hardware in the south bay. Need something? they probably have it, and the staff is always helpful even for those odd projects I'm working on. Recommend it for sure.

Very knowledgeable operator, man I spoke to possibly an owner. I needed metric thread inserts. He explained to me the difference in brands, types, uses. I only needed a small purchase today but will be back if I need any more applicable items.

Ace Is the perfect hardware store when I need anything emergency. Their price is higher than Home Depot and Lowe’s but the staffs are very cool friendly and helpfuls. Love them!

If there's anything that's hard to find, This place is going to have it. Seeing that it's the old Lovelady hardware store. They really have everything you could think of. My favourite store for fasteners and mechanical stuff.

From the aspect of someone who buys a lot of fasteners they have a decent selection compared to a lot of other locations. Employees do come and go with any place but they try hard to actually help when needed. They shine in some areas and are not exactly the best place to go for others. Most Weekend Warriors try and tackle projects over their heads (trying to be cheap cough cough) and then have to blame someone. it usually is the hardware store. Some people do harbor a legitimate grievance with a negative review. I have never had to return anything I have bought there.

This used to be Lovelady Hardware. This "Location" of Ace Hardware actually is still known by professionals who know what they need this place is a saving grace for some odd and hard to find hardware. If you know what you are shopping for and know what you are doing Ace is a great option to save money but the knowledge curve is more on the person doing the work than it falls on the knowledge of the people working in a hardware store. It really helps when people do their homework before making any purchase.

Over the years I have spent a LOT of money with them and they are my primary nuts and bolts Go To. While I agree this is nothing like Grainger or Carr McMaster it is local, they do carry automotive hardware (nuts and bolts etc.) and I can find some hardware that i can do classic bike repair with here and there. They have a really good selection of Metric hardware.

As far as plumbing and electrical go they can actually also be a serious life save in that they have stuff you will not find "On the shelf," at Lowes or Home Depot. They also do have a decent selection of tools. Go with what makes you feel good and well, I go here because they feed my needs well. Maybe not perfectly but serviceable.
