This place is amazing. Super knowledgeable staff who were able to put custom points on bows while also helping my son buy his first pole of his own. They even took the time to teach him some fishing tips. Great selection of supplies. Best combination of small town knowledge and big town supplies.

Quickly lead me to the lures said this one. I went home (to the anirbab) and caught 5 beautiful rainbow trout in about 30 min out Brittany lake. …then I let My kids cast and lost the lure!! I’m going back to buy another today bc it just slapped! Thanks HL&S!

Bought a bow from John today. All I can say is I walked in with a junk old bow and walked out with a brand new bow at a great price. I've been here twice and talked to them about my bow and then had them replace my string and cables. These guys are great to deal with and very knowledgeable! The best in NWA in my opinion after experiencing a couple other local shops. They work on Elite, Bowtech, PSE and Hoyt. It's great to be treated like you are a valued customer rather than a paycheck! I recommend these guys!

Bought my first bow here today. John took me through every bow they had on the shelf and even a couple of his personal bows. There was no pressure to buy the highest priced ones at all. I found the one I was comfortable with shooting and we went through all the attachments all the way to the arrow tips. If your looking for quality people and not a big box store this is your place.

Stopped in to look at a bow I'd been researching online and found the staff to be extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They showed me similar options within my budget and encouraged me to do my research since I'm not completely sure I'm ready to commit to the one I'd originally planned on. Prices are spot on, especially considering you get two months of range use and tuning with your bow purchase. It's refreshing to be have someone give me the time of day, take the time to answer all of my questions and not pressure me into a sale. I'll be purchasing my next bow here for sure.

Hook, Line & Sinker -Bella Vista

Earlier this week I went at lunch to drop my crossbow off to be sighted it. It had taken a fall and wasn't on target. I didnt want to take a chance and merely wound a deer and let it suffer, so I was going to pay them to zero it in for me.

When I got there to drop it off, the bow tech said "Let's go!". So I followed him down stairs, where, for the next half an hour, he showed me how to adjust it, mark the string for consistency, etc. I really appreciated the time he took to teach me the independence of sighting it in myself, and some idiosyncrasies about my brand. It was well worth the money, in my mind!

We go back upstairs and when asked the cashier asked him how much, he replied "He did the work, no charge". I was shocked at the level of service received.

Having a lil extra money on my hands now, I bought 2 bags of corn feed, 3 new bolts, some field tips, a pack of Grim Reaper mechanical crossbow broadheads, and some ZOOM and ZMAN trailers for my fall jig fishing.

I spend a lot of money annually on outdoor supplies, Ill be buying everything that I can from them. Customer earned!

These guys are awesome! Fantastic brands carried in store and good quality local brands! They sell live bait! I highly recommend these guys! Did I mention the awesome shop dogs?!

I recently picked up an older Martin Jaguar from a pawn shop mainly because the price was too good to pass up. Within a month I had taken it to 3-4 of the local "archery" shops and a few big box stores and just didnt really feel like I was getting the attention/information I was looking for. The first time I came into HLS in bentonville I met John. I explained to him what I had and what my goals were. I knew I needed new strings badly and he helped me get it done. After the strings were replaced and the bow was tuned, John helped me on multiple occasions afterwards and even took time to take me down to the range to help me with my form. He has helped me time and time again making adjustments to my bow and to my form and has helped me become much more comfortable with my bow. I will never trust anyone other than John to work on my bow or help me, when he isnt there I just come back at a different time because he knows where i started, what weve done to get this far, and what i need going forward. Thank you John for being knowledgeable, skilled, and most of all; respectful.

We go here to get crickets for our bearded dragon! Which they are way bigger here and so much cheaper than going to pet co. Every other week sometimes even even twice a week!!! Really nice and helpful staff as well!!
