Stop & Shop

I go to stop & shop every two weeks. The store is always clean. The staff is very friendly. The aisles are spacious. The fruit selection is always well stocked with the biggest blueberries and strawberries around. Great selection of fresh produce. The staff behind the deli counter are very well trained and are always available. Food had gone up in price but not at Stop N Shop. They have a wide variety of store-brand items from soups to potato chips. There is never a long line on checkout the the cashier are very fast and helpful with packing the food in the bags for me. The reward discount card will bring down a large final price to a moderate good price that is affordable. I will continue to go to Stop N Shop.

I made a purchase today in your market, bought in deli many types of cheeses and sausages, but I noticed one thing: I bought about 1 pound of each type, for example: 1 pound of cheese was weighed by a worker and the scales showed 1,100 pound and the worker removed one piece of cheese and threw it in the trash. I was shocked! My advice is not to throw it in the trash, but to withdraw how much came out + - more or less, the customers buys everything and this is income for you from these extra pieces of cheese or salami.

Why have I never noticed this store? It's large, clean, easy to navigate, well-stocked and the prices are comparable with other local vendors. They have great sales, a user friendly layout and I like the "healthy/organic stuff" aisle.

This is probably the first time I have been in this store and it was a pleasant surprise. I will shop here again as the experience was blessedly painless.

This is the best grocery store with in the surrounding towns. Produce stock usually plentiful, meat and fish are nicely cut and packaged, sometimes sold out. A whole isle dedicated to organic and alternative foods, "healthy" i guess you could say. The store is well organized which makes my shopping trips a easy and fast. The lane move slowly at times but self check out is usually fastest, although the overseer is not always around to help when something goes wrong.
Overall, great place, better than ShopRite across town.

This is one of the most complete stop and shop stores. It includes the usual departments plus a mini branch of PNC bank and ATM. There is a bakery section that is better than many stores that lack a bakery section but below those that have a first class bakery section. There is an existing stop and shop membership that provides some discounts but there is a new GO program that you can join for additional benefits. Look, it is a pain to join the little club that every grocery store seems to have, but if you don't, then you are effectively paying a premium for your shopping. So signing up is a one-and-done activity and then you will benefit from whatever you become eligible for.

Best food store in Emerson.

Spacious, rarely crowded. Helpful staff. They don't always carry everything I usually buy, but you can make do. Convenient to post office and located within a mini mall. Lots of parking.

Above and beyond! I placed a custom order cake yesterday and Sandie at the bakery was unbelievably helpful. I was looking for a Darth Vader design that was unfortunately no longer in their design book. Sandie recalled the exact design, scoured the back, and found one last Darth Vader cake topper! This is my first time ordering a cake here, and I really appreciated the extra effort.

Awesome store. They have everything organized well. Clean store and easy to shop out. They have self check out which makes it nice for the quick trips. Parking is never a issue which also makes things nice.

Lots of Varieties and good brands. You can go here for any thing you wanna buy for your kitchen. All the groceries and Varieties of veggies and fruits are available. I suggest this as a reasonable place similar to whole foods.

One of the best things about picking up a few items as quickly as possible at Stop & Shop, is that I never have to ask what aisle the products I'm shopping for are located.
The shopping cart has a list of things and the aisle numbers where you can find them, encased in a plastic window on the red flap on back of the baby seat area of every cart! This is a great help to get in & out when time is an issue and no time to ask the employees where things are.
The self check out area makes it easier & there's always someone present to supervise and immediately solve any little snag that may occur.
Another great perk is having a PNC bank in the Stop & Shop, I can shop & do my banking under one giant roof then get home to start dinner on time!
Always fresh and abundant, I enjoy going there and finding great deals on a vast variety of non-food items as well. Needless to say, I Stop & Shop for one or two things but always come home with so much more, I just can't resist a good deal! :)

Stop and Shop Emerson is the best. The deli section. Roberta and Joe are great. The front end people are pleasant and the meat department always takes care of me.

I love going to Stop and Shop in Emerson, not just because of groceries, but also because of staff...at these trying times the staff is still helpful and FRIENDLY...I do self check out and I was having a quick how are you to an employee, and she responds with...we have a great manager and he is protecting his employess... great shout out to the manager of stop and shop Emerson, nj.

Huge inside, sparkling clean, and the cashiers were friendly, and they actually smiled. If I lived closer I'd go there all the time.

Very pleasant. Everyone was very kind. I am impressed. I have been looking for a new place to shop and I do beleave I found it. I will be shopping here again. Lots if item to choose from too. I give it 5 stars.
