The icey (shaved ice) with fresh mango on top and drizzled with condense milk is superb. They were so friendly and the nice lady is a star. It's a small market with lots of goodies. You won't be dissapointed

This place is awesome. It’s so small, but as soon as I walked in and saw a couple of kinds of mango snacks, I knew it had been worth the trip to go there and to Thmor Da. The market was packed with good things. I got duck eggs, curry leaves, tropical fruits, and ingredients for spring rolls, to name a few items. For being so small, they had a good selection of produce, meat and fish.

There’s something really sweet about this place. It is small, but it has a lot of Asian ingredients that are difficult to find where I live (on the North Shore), including: lime leaves, curry leaves, and galangal.

One very small issue is that not every produce item is labelled, which is no big deal if you are familiar with the ingredients, but I did have to ask for help figuring out certain ingredients. BUT they’re really friendly and helpful, and the man also helped me pick out the best looking ones too.

Good small asian market with a lot of variety. Pork and chicken are fresh, fishes are frozen though. Considering their size, this is totally understandable.

One of my regular local stores. Always come here for watermelons, ready made sandwiches, and shaved ice in the summer time. Their produce is usually fresh and good quality in general.

Like it!

Asian and American food. Variety of fresh vegetables, fruit, meat, can food, teas.., some Spanish food (beans...) The employees also cut up some of the vegetables to make a stir-fry at home mixture. Cut pineapple, strawberry... Prices are good.

I NEVER get sick after eating their produce.

In other stores, including some supermarkets; they spray the vegetables with chemicals to preserve them longer, or they use city tap water to spray on the vegetables to preserve. Water can be tainted with bacteria... I get very sick and my intestines sick from the water, chemicals.

I never get sick after eating Battambong Market produce. They must sell a lot because it is fresh and they seem to be buying and storing it in a very healthy, natural way; no chemicals, no city tap water on them.

And they sell milk!

Thank you!

Wonderful store, very patient with ignorant folks like me who love to make Thai food but can't read the labels or distinguish the vegetables. Prices for herbs and mushrooms terrific!

I like coming here from time to time. The food that they have are tasty and yummy. People in the store are helpful and friendly. On the weekends they would bring out the good stuff like the pork bun, egg rolls, and the nompang pate which in khmer means sandwich.

I. Love. This. Store! They carry all of the freshest, and amazing quality exotic and local fruits and veggies around. They have fresh seafood every day. The prices are very fair! I bought a three pack of tri colored peppers here. At Stop'n'Shop, the price for this pack is almost $4.00. Here, I paid $1.75! They always have fresh cooked tidbits to nibble on from spring rolls, to banana fritters. The folks who run the store are some of the nicest people I have ever met! I have been coming here for almost twenty years. I used to live up the street, but now I live close to Cape Cod. I still travel out to Revere twice a month to visit with family, and come to this market! They always have fresh litchi nuts, and they sell me a ten pound crate for $25!!! There are quite a few Asian markets in the area. Each of them has their own charm, but Battambang Market is my favorite!

This is a great little shop for fresh Asian ingredients as well as prepared and packaged goods. Very friendly and helpful staff, and items like galangal and Kafir lime leaves that are hard to find elsewhere. I'm glad I found this place and I'll certainly be back in the future.

Really good produce, among other things. They sometimes have some prepared fruits that are delicious! Sometimes you can buy red chilly plants.

Battambang Market is a small family owned and operated asian grocery store in Revere Ma on shirley ave. Growing up in Revere this was one of the last asian grocery stores I "met" before moving away, but it quickly became my favorite. My best memory was running here before school to grab hot cambodian eggrolls that someones mom or aunt made fresh for a quarter a piece. I think today they may be 50 cents each. These eggrolls and the banh bao (steamed buns filled with pork with a little bit of egg and a little piece of chinese sausage), will always hold a special place in my heart. As I got older I started loving this store for much more than the eggrolls and banh bao. They sell many other prepared things like delicious shrimp vermicelli bun, banh mi sandwiches, homemade beef jerky and more. They usually have live crab when in season, blue (my favorite) and rock crabs. You can find fresh periwinkles, fish, clams and more. There is usually 1 to 2 women behind the fish station who will cut and clean something for you or weigh out your crabs, periwinkles etc. They have lots of fresh meats, frozen food, yummy snacks like prepared squid and fruit jerky, tons of delicious and fresh produce and a ton of grocery items. I have seen a few reviews where people complain about how tight some of the aisles are here and I can understand how it would be uncomfortable and unpleasant for a bigger person trying to make their way through the store, but with that being said, I really feel like it adds character and culture to the market. If you have ever been to cambodia or places in asia you will notice the chaotic but lovely trend of super crowded marketplaces. As westerners we tend to judge something like this too quickly instead of realizing and understanding the beauty of it. Aside from food items you can also find some cook ware, rice steaming hats (I dont know the actual name of them), scratch tickets, knives and a variety of other products which are both asian culture based as well as american. Lastly one of the best things you will find here, for free, are a welcoming and helpful family of employees. Whether they are blood family or not, I have always been greeted by smiles and friendly faces. I have never felt in the least bit uncomfortable asking about something I hadn't seen before or even questioning how to prepare something. Occasionally one of the cashiers has even given me advice on things like how asians eat something like their crab dipped in lemon and pepper instead of butter for a healthier version. I had never tried this before or even thought to try it but wow, who would have thought it could be so good? Now I no longer reach for the butter everytime I tear into my shellfish. I wish nothing but long term success for Battambang Market and hope for as long as it is around my children continue to take the ride there as they get older, and their children as well and so on. The one and only request I have for battambang, is to bring back the vacuum sealed packs of pork jerky that has two thin strips and in hot and regular flavors. I think the brand was "so: or "oh so" or "so so", now I cannot remember but it is my all time FAVORITE snack that most of the asian stores on shirley ave used to carry when I was a child but now the only place I can ever find it is at a small store in china town in Boston. Whenever I go to china town I stock up on about 50 of them. It would be so much easier if I could just find these in Revere. I LOVE them, my kids love em and everyone I have ever had try them, quickly becomes obsessed! Other than that, thanks Battambang for providing us with awesome food, other products and amazing customer service. <3
