There's a cashier from New Jersey with the best hair ever and usually she works self checkout. She is so awesome! One of the nicest people I have dealt with! Then, there's Demetrius in the deli. Above and beyond with his customer service! Easily my favorite Safeway

The Sunrise Village Safeway is a model for the Albertsons / Safeway supermarket chain. Wide aisles. Lots of variety from house to relatively high-end brands. Impressive produce, meats, and bakery. And, surprisingly, no waiting to get a capable human checker. Parking was plentiful, free and convenient.

We stopped in here before a hiking trip up the Catalina mountains for some snacks. Got some beef jerky, chips, and granola bars. Easy to find what we needed and they had a huge selection. The cashier was very friendly. Recommended.

We always find good deals here and it's right around the corner from our house. Love the fact that they have a Starbucks inside too.

All the employees are very friendly and helpful. I always have a nice shopping experience here. The prices are decent and the food selection is wonderful especially in the deli! I would highly recommend this grocery store over another.

Great staff. I lost my purse in the cart. They found and kept it safely. Appreciate for their help. Wolf, you are the best. The foods are delicious and healthy. Shop is clean and well organized. Good store especially during this long time pandemic.

I love this place, I have been going there since it's inception and they have remodeled wisely, which to me means add a generous easy to clean, and clean rest room area. All Safeway's and now Albertsons have good bakeries, well stocked, and clean fresh fruit and vegetable areas, and a well equipped liquor department. In addition, in the shopping center itself is a fine french restaurant, a "red elephant," store which sells items from Peru, and a pet store. Those are the stores I have explored the most....except for the cost cutters which does a wonderful job especially in these circumstances.

Prices are a little higher since we are in the foothills. But you can get a good experience here.

Convenient place to shop

Beautiful store! Plenty busy, but still plenty of helpful staff. Bathrooms are clean, and has a decent selection. Has the best liquor isle nearby, good local beer selection. Great bakery, meat, deli, and seafoods! Beautiful store, it's the one my wife and I shop at for groceries!

Friendly staff, everything is always stocked and clean, carts are in good condition and the Starbucks inside is awesome. The deli has some awesome food but sometimes the chicken wings and chicken tenders can be a little dry so I usually avoid those.

I went late night grocery shopping last night. I had a cartful of groceries and didn't realize when I went to check out it was all self checkout. I can handle a few things at self checkout...but a whole cartful! Joe was there and assured me he would take care of my order. He scanned everything of my order while multitasking with other customers. I just wanted to send a thank you to Joe and let management know that he was very helpful and efficient.

This is one of the best grocery stores, not just Safeway, in all of Arizona. The staff has been here forever and they go above and beyond excellence to help in any way that they can. I want to especially recognize the floral department. I don't know how they do it, but the most beautiful flowers are always on display and ready to be purchased. When you check out, the cashiers and the baggers try very hard to remember your name. This store is always busy and I say it's because they have such a great team.

Best selection of high quality cakes for all occasions. Bakers do an amazing job designing and decorating beautiful cakes that taste amazing.

Two things I love to see on the shelf
Deep eddy lemonade vodka, and pico de gio salsa... Safeway had both.
Very clean, nice staff.. but a handful of items are separated into two different sections, so I had to look twice for somethings..

They had everything I looked for, and I was in-and-out with $135 months groceries in 30 minutes.. no lines at the time.

This is a great grocery store. Wide selection of beer, wine, and alcohol. Fine meat counter with helpful butchers, good deli for sandwiches, very good bakery for custom cakes when needed and they make great fruit tarts. Be sure to sign up for a Safeway shopper card to get significant discounts on almost everything.
