Portland Center Liquor

Walking into this store reminds me of what Portland used to be. The whole staff is awesome! Super knowledgeable and friendly as all can be! I don’t think I’ve ever had to open the door to come or go, always someone there to say hello. I’m not sure how they can fit so much in the space they have but continue to amaze me with their selection.

One of the best whiskey selections I have ever seen, and a friendly staff to add to it. Great liquor store!

The staff here is always very helpful and friendly. I came in today with a list of items I needed: some specific, some not. I was helped find items that fit my budget and given honest recommendations. There was no pressure to spend more than I liked or buy things that I wasn't interested in, which was critically important to me. I always feel very comfortable and welcome in this liquor store and will definitely continue visit it even if I no longer near as close as I do currently.

My favorite liquor store when I was in college. Fin selection of bitters. The broad price range has a few great finds in everything from the bottom shelf to affordable mid-range bottles. Counter staff is always helpful and fun too. Heck, I just upped my review from four to five stars because I had so much fun writing it.

The owners are always there and are always pleasant and professional. This store also has the Best selection of liqueur that I have ever seen. It's a tiny shop, so that's saying a lot. They sell limes 10 for a dollar... Other liquor stores don't exactly do anything like that. Another store that I frequent sells them for a dollar each... Just sayin

One of the best liquor stores in town, and more convenient than the other downtown liquor stores because it offers off-street parking. The new owner (since summer 2012) is as friendly and helpful as the original owners (Elsie & Dorsey). Make sure to ask for recommendations and he'll occasionally pull out some limited quantity items from the back room.

There's a 78% chance you'll be asked to buy booze for a homeless guy if you're within 50 yards of this store. That said, they're very nice. The people at the store I mean. Not the homeless.

This is my go-to place when I need to get an interesting liquor for a discerning friend...or something special for myself. The staff is always friendly & helpful - they suggest interesting options based on the person, taste profile, or even the dinner you're planning. Highly recommend.

This is one of the best selection liquor stores in Portland. For whatever reason this store has a much more varied selection of liqueurs and top shelf liquor. The OLCC search engine is the way to find exactly what you need, but I've had good luck finding bottles here. For example my local store stared at me blankly when I asked about passion fruit liqueur. These guys had two different brands (Giffard and another).

Great selection of quality and craft liquors. Carries a good selection of basics but specializes in craft cocktail and high-end liquors.

Staff is great and it seems like half the times I've been there's been some new distiller offering samples. Pretty fair selection.

Friendly, unpretentious staff that doesn't care if you don't know a thing about liquor - they'll gladly help you purchase something based on what you know you like. For those that enjoy liquor a bit more, they also offer expert recommendations on what to find within your specified price range and can suggest great choices for you.

A lovely little hole in the wall liquor store. It's compact, but features many options of liquor. And at the time of my visit the staff were friendly. If you're looking for beer, you'll find none here. Otherwise take a step inside, for liquor to imbibe.

A truly superlative gem of a store with a spectacular selection of spirits and a helpful, friendly and funny staff. Don't let the small footprint fool you, their selection of both global liqueurs and American artisan alcohol is truly magnificent.
