My favorite Mexican spot in Chicago. The food is absolutely good. Seasoning is just right. Sometimes depending on the cook the portions is not that great. But that's the only flaw.

Food good but I wish they would stay open they close every other week seem like it smh

My favorite taco spot since I was kid.
Meat is delicious cut into small piece you will not get any of those chewy nerve parts here.
They have a little glass window where you can see them prepare your tacos while you wait. I love this place and will always come here.

The staff is friendly and the food is delicious. I got a torta dinner. The rice and beans were perfect. My friend got tacos and a Gordita and she loved them. The spicy salsa isn’t too hot but has the perfect amount of spice. If you drink it’s inside of a liquor store with reasonable prices. We’ll be back for $1 tacos on Wednesday lol

Awesome neighborhood restaurant! Food is delicious and the staff is always so friendly! This place is always busy but the wait is totally bearable, about 15 mins usually so not too bad. I would like to state though, if they are looking to hire more staff the speed of service would improve tremendously! If you're looking for a great Tacos, this is the place!

Omg! The absolute best tacos I’ve had in my life coming from a restaurant! I need four steak tacos and a quesadilla every single time I go and the rice water is to friggin die for! My mouth and stomach is in heaven rn!!! Shot out to my friend for taking me! Your food changed my life😋😋

While the Fad is "Taco Tuesday", El Guero has $1.00 tacos on Wednesday...and they are delicious (at least the steak tacos are)

Well worth the visit, but on a Wednesday, ya' might want to call ahead. They get a little busy.

Excellent service. Great place to eat in or carry-out. Delicious food and reasonably priced for the portions given. Fast effective service response. Friendly courteous staff.

Go for the food service counter. Wednesday is $1 tacos. Crispy tortillas & tender fillings work well together . The the true star of my meal was the horchata. Excellent! Smooth! Creamy! Flavorful! I won't ruin the surprise but, definitely order it to eat in for the best presentation!

okay this is on the east side of Chicago right off of 98th and South Chicago they have the best authentic tacos I was getting addicted to them for a minute there's plenty of parking and you do have to pay the meter or you can dine in and yes children can come it's a family-owned restaurant that's very friendly and courteous oh I forgot to tell you it's inside a store that's my review

Love this place!!! Their food is Ahhmazing, always fresh and on point! I usually get the steak but have tried it all and it's all sooo yummy! I go here as much as I can and am always craving it lol. Growing up around Mexican homemade cooking I know quality and will recommend anyone wanting authentic fresh Mexican food to eat here!

The Best Steak Tacos and Gorditas on the Southeast Side.

Oh yeah baby, the $1 steak tacos on Wed. can't be beat. This place has good tacos and gorditas. I haven't tried anything else, but I'm sure they're good as well.

hands down they are the best. I love all of there food. I'm from the south side and i have no problem traveling over east to get there food. if you have never had there food you trippin I advise any and everyone to try there food. i promise you wont be disappointed.

We ordered 4 steak tacos, 4 chicken tacos, 4 pork tacos and they were delicious. Great service and delicious Mexican cuisine.

Great authentic Mexican cuisine. Can't wait to try everything on the menu. The quesadilla and tacos and burritos are tops on the south and very reasonable prices
