One Stop Food & Liquors

I have been doing some shopping here during the past couple of years. It is a wonderful store because the cashiers are excellent and very helpful; workers have assisted me taking boxes of chicken wings to my car and they have good parking. When I am in need of pickles, I drive up to One Stop Foods. Best to arrive early.... not the best neighborhood. Read the weekly news ad, see what you need and I highly recommend One Stop Food.

Now, is one of my favorite stores when I visit Chicago.
When I use to live there it's big and convenient to shop there when looking for a variety of meats and vegetables. Love it.

I lived in the area as a child approximately 35 years ago. One Stop had the freshest food at the lowest prices. And they are still amazing, topping the record of sustaining low prices in todays overwhelming inflation. This store always gave a bang to my families buck for decades. Thank you One Stop, for your generosity to our communities.

I've been going to One Stop all of my life! The cashier's, the stockers the baggers, the butcher's, the security & the owners are AWESOME!!!!!! They all work collectively to make customer's shopping experiences wonderful! I love the prices & the quality of the food & other items! I love shopping at One Stop Food & Liquor! One Stop is an awesome staple in the Bronzeville community. For years now people have been shopping at 1 stop who has everything you need from milk to cereal meats vegetables can goods and anything else you can name for the kitchen or household supplies. There are always daily sales on every day items. I love this store! It's not the most fancy place but it's packed full of money saving deals. Chicken specials are great! Easily feed a family from here.

I remember as a little girl in the late 70’s or early eighties.my grandma used to get a lot of our food from one stop.I grew up had my family and I shopped there.box of eggs with 12doz for I think 6.00,50lb of potato’s for 5.00 ,box of 12 cans of chili for 3.00 and those Tom tamales a whole 6pak for 2.00,12 loaves of bread for 3.00 😁.I might be a bit off but not by far.one stop kept my family fed.If I were in Chicago I’d still shop there.Oh and penny had started wayyy after my kids were born .she was so energetic and helpful.we all older now with grown kids. One stop was awesome.I’ve just read other reviews.I see things have changed over the years.Back in the day it was a nice place to shop and to save money

I personally love this store. The people who work there are kind and friendly. I fully support all local businesses. Great job One Stop. I'm new to our community and appreciate all the workers and owners.

I love this store. I used to live in Hyde Park and would come here a lot for its great bargains. But as much as the bargains, I came to appreciate (even more so, looking back), the experience of a great local grocery store, with staff and customers always creating such a nice "vibe," everybody so pleasant and relaxed compared to Hyde Park, just a few blocks south. (I also used to like Village foods, on 51st street, for a similar reason, before they closed and HP became more thoroughly gentrified.) One stop was like a kind of "nongentrified breath of fresh air," I guess you could say... people being natural, friendly, unpretentious. It was just plain pleasant to shop there. Really miss the place!!!!

If ever there were a better locally owned and operated grocery, this is it. I found the store clean, the staff helpful and practicing social distancing and wearing masks as required. I will continue to shop here as part of my cost-consciousness food shopping.

I've been going to one stop since I was a little girl my children are all grown now they had when I was a little girl's the cases of food that could feed a family of five or more they're still pretty good on their prices but I love to catch the cells and the coupons they have on Wednesdays in the paper goodbyes when you're looking for good food and quality food it's pretty good the sales are good too just my personal experience

It's exactly what the name implies it is. If you want to save money on canned and frozen goods this is the spot. Not much in the way of produce but honestly great prices. Short lines at the register. Aisles are well organized and store is clean, well stocked, and well maintained. Friendly staff.

I love this store you have a outstanding employee name Cynthia always nice and pleasant. You have great quality I am so glad one stop is still and round I've been shopping hear for years since my kids was babies they are 35 years old now 34 and 26 keep up the good work.

Great service and price's

I was raised on One Stop and now my children are being raised on One Stop. I love this store. Definitely has the "old school" neighborhood store feel. No its not fancy but it gets the job done and the prices are GREAT.

Customer service is truly excellent. We all need kind service at a time when there are so many harsh things with which we must contend. They go out of their way to be helpful. Management also seems very supportive of their staff.
