Friends of Nature

I finally decided, after living here in Sussex for years, to stop in and check Friends of Nature out. I am so glad I did. I two dogs, a snake, and I feed the wild birds. They have products for all 3 and the prices are very competitive if not cheaper. The people that work there are as nice as can be. I definitely recommend checking them out if you've never been there. They have a loyalty program to help save money, too. It's now my go-to place for all my pets.

I like this store for a great and reasonable priced selection of bird seeds. Reasonably priced meal worms too. Plus I can always find a tasty treat for my pup. Wholesome dry dog food bags, dog supplies and really nice bird houses and feeders. I saw live baby chick's for sale last spring.

I love shopping at Friends of Nature and would never go anywhere else. As I own a dog, two cats, and a tarantula, I shop here often and they meet all my needs. The service is great. On my last visit, it was pouring rain and I had three trips to make to my car, and the cashier helped me out so that I didn't get soaked. It was very kind and above and beyond what I expected. This store is so much fun to visit to pick out dog treats! They were also very helpful when trying to figure out what food to get for a rescue dog to help make his transition from wet food as smooth as possible

Always friendly, always have what I am looking for. Staff has always been great, in fact when I go in we joke around and have a good time. My dog Wilbur loves visiting them and the other customers who bring their dogs in. Lots of different kinds of cat and dog foods. I feed raw, and they order green tripe for me. I also bought the cutest personalized dog tag there. Prices are good. Would never buy bird seed from Walmart, stale crap. The birdseed at FON is fresh and the birds love it.

I was surprised by the less than positive feedback. I have always been cheerfully greeted and very good customer service. Overall quality very good and competitive pricing. Sussex is fortunate to have this business and I always feel good about my purchases here!

Very knowledgeable staff member (didn't catch her name) on our pet snake and things to consider with his care and feeding. Heater we bought was fractionally higher than Amazon's price but like supporting local for the extra buck plus the advice was worth it by far.

I love going in here to buy my dog food, the staff is always welcoming and very helpful. I had an issue with a bag of dog food I purchased, I believe it made my dog sick so I contacted the owners and they had me bring the food in and they told me the rep for the brand of food I bought suggested to try their sensitive food they took my old food back and gave me a new bag to try. Best customer service ever. You guys rock!!!!!

There are currently two people here who will cut Guinea pigs nails, and they are great. Afterwards they gave my little guinea a treat(: will visit again!
