In Your Ear Records

This is a great place to add to you vinyl collection. There are two locations, the main one on Market Street and a “bargain outlet” on Main Street. Plenty of parking on both sites, and both are accessible. We chatted with a customer who loves the place. Calls himself a “digger” and said he finds amazing records here.

Great selection, reasonable prices and a friendly, neighborhood vibe. I walked into the main street location for the first time, looking for a used receiver to power some speakers I bought. The owner (his name is escaping me) spent a solid 20 minutes helping me understand what would work well for me and what they had in stock. I could tell I was getting honest advice and not being upsold like some audio equipment vendors like to do. Now I have an awesome new audio set up, some great new (used) LPs, and a lot of new knowledge. I'll be back.

My kind of record store! There are plenty of records to dig through at In your Ear Records! The owner is friendly, welcoming and full of wisdom! It like a sea of records, but well organized.

In Your Ear Records has an astounding selection of record albums and covers as well as CDs. What makes them unique is a record store with a music store and also sell speakers record players, and musical items. They're located right downtown across from Federal Hill Pizza and several other fun shops and places to eat.

Super well organized, with a great selection of new and used. Very fair prices and friendly staff!

The 50 cent bins are crazy to dig through!!! In a good way!!!! The guy that runs the place has immense knowledge about music and what's in his store. It is COVERED in records. All for a good price. Amazed to find some beautiful Sun Ra which is super hard to come by. thank you for having us!
My only recommendation is do not come with a purse or bag, as you'll be bumping into the stacks of records. Tight squeeze! :)

Miss them being in Boston but IYE is still one of the very best music and ephemera shops in New England. Between the two shops you will find music and media pretty much available almost nowhere else. They are a crate digger's and treasure hunter's paradise. Justin, Chris, and Reed are especially awesome too!

This is more like a SIX star store! Clean, open, large store tucked away near the water. We were vacationing near the area looking for record stores to purchase new and used CD's. We were not having much luck when on our way home we discovered a store in a beautiful little town called Warren, in RI.
The owner/ Manager was incredibly friendly and engaging. He was knowledgeable, approachable and professional. My son found several CD's and much more! As we were cashing out, we were given a free tote bag along with a personal gift to my son. I thought it was touching and made our already great experience even better! I would recommend this record/CD/music store to all!! A++++++

Can be a little intimidating at first, but the overall atmosphere and environment of the store is amazing. It is absolutely overflowing with records, musical equipment, everything you could think of. Owner and the employees are great, not even gonna mention the extremely cheap prices. 10/10

Highly recommend In Your Ear - I went in looking for a specific sound for a record and thought I'd made the right choice until the owner let me know that there may be an even better record that would more closely resemble the sound I was looking for. He played the record for me, we talked and had a great conversation and I walked out with a great record!

I fully trust the owner's opinion here, especially because the vinyl he recommended was even less expensive than the one I'd chosen. He was by no means trying to upsell me into an overpriced record. He truly cared that I went home with a record I'd enjoy. Will be going back, especially when I'm looking for new finds and to explore different types of music.

Best record joint around! Period. New store has a great 'vibe' to it. Always great staff.... Bought a cool Yellow Submarine lava lamp a while back (I called ahead to see if it was still available as it was going to be a surprise for my son ) and it was packed up perfectly and ready to go when I walked in an hour later, and I didn't even pay for it yet ! Great service ! My Son and I stop in almost every Saturday just to ' poke around' and we almost always leave with something ! On the rare occasion we come up empty, the staff is still always incredibly friendly and we inevitably end up having a great conversation.

Can spend hours and hours browsing through this store. Really does have a magical feel to it. Makes you feel like you're sharing in a secret from the past.

Awesome record store, tons of interesting old records, tapes, and media. Even random promo stuff as well. My only regret is finding out about this store only just now, wish I found out about this store sooner and that this location wasn't closing soon.

Seemed like an awesome place. I liked this one being in a smaller downtown than in Boston or Cambridge (there's other locations in those cities). Good selection of new and used vinyl and a small variety of musical gear. Nothing seemed too expensive, was out of there with 3 records for about $30.

Great place for finding rare records and CDs for affordable prices! It's always fun to browse around the store and see what cool albums they have. I would definitely recommend this place for any record collector!

I put together a little Christmas miracle thanks to the help of this place and it's fantastic staff. The awesome guy who was working there (the night before Christmas!) helped me put together a fantastic stereo system for my daughter, and I found more vinyl treasures for her, too. This place is a gem.

Best record store in the area! Lots of stock packed in there. Often when I find something they have several copies so I can pick out the one in best condition. Knowledgeable, helpful staff. Prices are reasonable too -- they haven't started charging the "vinyl premium" many places are.

Great location. Loaded from wall to wall and floor to ceiling with 8 tracks, VHS, DVDs, Cassettes, CDs, Vinyl. Cluttered, tight aisles,, but still organized enough to find what you want.. Excellent pricing. Friendly service. Worth a visit.
