Sagar India Market

The proprietor is very nice, happy to explain differences in ingredients that may not be obvious to someone not familiar with Indian cooking. Lots of desi ingredients, pretty much anything you could need to make a large variety of Indian dishes. Great prices on pulses/legumes.

The owners are very friendly and helpful. They got a variety of spices from India, pakistan and bangladesh. The food quality is also very good.

Awesome ppl, very helpful, and a great selection :). Also there’s a 15% discount if ur a UK student! Def highly recommend 😁. Make sure to look in the freezer section next to the check out too, they have ready made dosa batter and coconut chutney.

This is by far one of my favorite international grocery stores here in Lexington. The couple that owns it are beyond sweet, and they are always happy to help assist you in any way they can. Not to mention the prices are hard to beat and rather affordable. Definitely worth the visit.

Sagar is an excellent India market. Their prices are much better than a chain grocery. It's the go to place for spices (including fresh curry leaves delivered on Thursday's), rice and naan! The staff are always friendly and helpful.

Very impressed on first visit. Wide selection and good prices. I was amazed you find jeleebies and they were quite good. Haven't had any outside of India.

What a delightful little place. They have a wonderful selection and the prices are very fair. Loved the pistachio almond cookies and Ladoos. Great price for Naan bread too. Will be back. 💜💜💜

I have been shopping for my Indian ingredients at Sagar for years. Prices are good and all the basics available. Reminds me of stores I visited with my mother in New Delhi years ago.

I had braced myself for what I expected to be an hour-long shopping expedition to find 20 ingredients I had never heard of, but the staff were very helpful and showed me where everything was on the shelves. I was in and out in under 10 minutes--very helpful people!

Fantastic prices and when I was unsure of what I needed for a dish he helped me. They carry a Masala Chai mix that is fantastic!
