"A Little bit of This, a Little bit of That"
I'm not old enough to remember the original General Store. We've all fallen into the sink hole of specialization and it's difficult to believe that merchants like Sears and Roebuck, JJ Newberry and Woolworths were actually later versions of stores that originally carried feed and grain for your livestock as well as blankets and buckets, sewing needles and nails. We called the newer iterations "5 and Dimes" and basically were only interested in the Candy Section where we could, after great deliberation, spend our allowances.
I share those memories with you because if you've ever had a nostalgic desire to revisit one of those long gone 5 and Dimes, you couldn't get much closer than the 98+¢ S&S Market. (That name is just like the store - a bit of everything) Horace Vandergelder would be impressed. I will let my photos illustrate the incredibly diverse inventory of this compact store (I included one photo of just the false eyelashes lest you think the store has only 1 of anything). It's a family business and each person knows exactly where every item is located. I tried to think of things the store wouldn't have.... but happily I failed. I have been back a number of times and still find just what I want. If only I still had an allowance.

Love this store and the owner and all the ppl that work there are very polite good Price's just love it .

This Store was very nice and clean and I will shop more there in the future 😀
