ALDI

I have visited many Aldis in my lifetime (including several in Europe). This store opened a couple of days ago very close to my home, so I went to check it out. Aldi was originally a German chain of small supermarkets that opened in the US several years ago; they keep their own brands, low inventory and have popularized many European products in the US. Even though they eventually adjust their inventory to local tastes, and they stop bringing things that don't sell, they always start with a fairly diverse product line that is standard since they are not exactly sure what will sell or not. Therefore, since the store just opened, they had a lot of unique, high-quality items, so I decided to highlight them. Check our my pictures for unusual produce ("golden" strawberries), cold cuts (prosciutto, serrano, cave-aged cheddar by Jasper Hill, brioche breads, German cookies, single sourced coffees, etc.)
The store was very clean, and I saw many employees stocking the shelves. I even got a $5 coupon off $30.00 from a very nice lady, and engaged in many cool conversations. Enjoy the pics!

Gave 5 stars for their prices and food quality. Actually, they sell better salsa than ither nearby grocery stores. Can almost always find grapes less than 2/lb.

I have been coming here on a very regular basis ever since they opened a year ago where Shopper's Food Warehouse was near White Flint. The store always looks great, the staff are friendly and everything is up to the normal high standards of the other Aldi's stores I have been to. Good place to shop.

I've been to several Aldi stores including a couple in European countries. The Aldi's in our area are smaller than those I've visited overseas and some of them are pathetic.
The first one I visited in the U.S. was on Bel Pre road. I was so disappointed, I left without buying anything. The Rockville Pike location was better stocked but the staff weren't very friendly, and the store was not well organized.
When the Aldi's opened in Kensington I visited with low expectations, and I was blown away! I have gone there nearly every week since.
This location is clean and well organized and always well-stocked.
In addition to great food and household items, I've found so many wonderful unique finds. The frozen foods are great, the meat and fish are simply outstanding. Fresher and better (and less expensive) than any I've found in the area. Also, the cheese selection is excellent!
The checkout staff are lightning fast and friendly. I have never had to wait more than a few minutes in line.

What more can I say? I love this place!

Aldi has always been great at reasonable prices.

In the current economy, Aldi is a life saver, much lower prices than any of it's competitives, for the same exact products and brands or equal quality. While their very limited options of whatever product may seem discouraging or frustrating, it actually make the grocery shopping a much faster experience and the lack of options to choose from makes deciding a breath. Of course I still go to certain store for favourite items I can't find there, nonetheless , the bulk of my grocery and household items has been from there. Honestly thanks Aldi! Keep up!

I love shopping here. Prices are good, food quality is good, and overall service is good. A lot of Aldi brands are sold here, but they taste just as good. Great grocery store for lower Rockville/North Bethesda area. Location is also good, since there are other good stores at the same shopping center.

Nice staff, clean and well stocked.

Used the pickup service for my groceries and it was very fast an efficient! Nothing went wrong with my order and would definitely use this Aldi again for my groceries! The worker who brought out my order was very friendly as well!

I came looking for dish soap and was nothing on the shelf I drove 25min to this location and one of the employees was restocking the shelfs I asked her about it and she really tried to helped me find it in between those big boxes twice and she couldn't find them I didn't wanna go anywhere else because was so cold and windy (even a shopping car hit my car thats besides the point)... I spent more time at the store and when she found them, she went to find me and that's customer service... Thank you Dana.
