Mega Foods Salem

I really love the diversity of this store. They have about everything you need. The Butcher is a great guy all the way to the cashiers at the front of the store. All first class. Thank you for giving your store for an option for shopping.

I would definitely recommend this place for grocery shopping. Has everything one might need with a good hot food deli if you like Mexican food " carnitas, chicharrones, Chile relleno etc..." as a bonus. And relatively quick check out lines. Plus your shopping at a locally owned store if you care about such things. So yes I would definitely recommend this place.

Wonderful seating area next to the deli and Mexican pastries. I was surprised to find Russian foods, Canadian breads, Amish Foods and Irish foods throughout the store. Large variety of produce and very good prices. Great selection of Mexican spices. Also picked up a marinated chicken from the hot case. Really delicious was a nice spice to it. I found an aisle was bulk foods and one gallon cans. The store was clean, checkout was quick and the service was friendly. :-)

Great!!! Never knew about this fantastic grocery, but will definitely be back. Staff super friendly and they have everything!! Very nice produce section, deli section and everything. Literally half (or more) cheaper than Safeway or Albertsons, but same brands. Will be returning!

Big store has alot of delicious Hispanic foods.the store was very well organized and clean has 2 taco trucks out front and a little raspado shop inside. It is a great place to find hard to find foods. Great variety of foods all in one store.

Love Mega Foods. Always a good selection on meat and new discounted prices that are unbeatable. I shop at night and there is a gentleman that works there. Tall, white and bald. Maybe the manager. He is awesome!!! He is very considerate, polite,and fast at the register. I look forward to seeing him every time i visit Mega Foods. The customer service is wonderful. Thank you Mega Foods.

I’ve missed this store since they left Lebanon. Found this one in salem and they still have all the same things. Best grocery store well worth the drive, especially if you like chicken feet and hearts 🤷🏻‍♀

Employees actually interact with customers and make you feel like you're not just there to inconvenience them like Walmart! Great place to shop

This was the old Food4Less. Now it's like a giant store for Mexican food stuffs. I love Mexican food so I really like this place. Saw some really good prices for meat and other things. I myself need to explore this place a bit more.
Looking for Mexican food ingredients then I would highly recommend.

We love this store! Great selection of produce and international foods. Very good prices. They accept EBT. I was surprised to find that they even have Russian foods for a low price.

Excellent problem solving and customer service! I have a friend who has mobility issues and needs to use an electric shopping cart. We went shopping together several weeks ago but they only had one cart and it wasn't charged. We spoke with a lovely lady at customer service and she apologized and said she would figure out what happened. We went shopping again today and there were now 4 or 5 electric carts available and all fully charged. This is a locally owned store with a location in Woodburn and Salem. They managed to get the whole cart issue fixed and even got a couple extra carts for their customers convenience. I believe that they like other stores in the area have a problem with them being stolen. It's just kind of interesting that they can fix the situation quickly but places like Walmart and Safeway can't or won't do the same even though they were made aware of the same issues, repeatedly, over a year ago. Thanks again MegaFoods! Just a reminder it really pays off and helps support your neighbors when you shop locally owned and small businesses!

Update 1-16-23: They offer some incredible discounts via electronic coupons generated by their app. Sadly it continually errors out when trying to set up your account. In turn this makes it impossible to use any coupons. No options for support and no reply to emails. This is kind of a big deal...so until it's resolved, minus 2 stars.

This store has some of the most friendly and helpful employees in Salem. Their prices are quite good especially since they have regular grocery store type setup similar to Safeway. I was pleasantly surprised to find that unlike traditional grocery stores, mega foods prices were better in most instances than those of Walmart and in most cases were significantly lower. Of course they're going to be a few items or types of items that you're going to pay more for simply for the convenience factor like cosmetics or most of the dog foods and cat foods. But as a whole their prices are quite good especially with everything going on and prices increasing almost daily it seems. They have excellent produce and meats as well as their deli department and their bakery which does have a lot of items that you wouldn't find in a regular store. I was even surprised to find daily specials in their meat department etc on items like flank steak, t-bone steak and boneless skinless chicken breasts which were significantly less than Safeway or Walmart. I was happy to find flank steak for $3.99 a pound and boneless skinless chicken breast for $1.99 a pound. These prices are substantially less than Safeway which I shopped to be instacart the other day their flank steaks were well over $18 a pound and their chicken breasts were something the bone-in chicken breath, so not even a good comparison, were over $7 a pound at Safeway. I also found out that they have a pretty cool feature That is quite helpful to the left fortunate in our community or those simply they don't have transportation, that if you spend $35 they will give you a ride home in a van that they have for free. I'm not quite sure on the hours of operation etc but from a couple people I spoke with they said it's a great benefit of shopping there and they said the folks that run that service are very friendly and actually helped load your groceries into the van and they will help you with them to your door when you're done. Very nice service that I was surprised to find and sadly is missing from every other store in the area. Looking forward to shopping there again soon.

The manager is always so nice and helpful.. when we buy produce from Safeway it will rot in the fridge a couple days later, when it's from mega foods it lasts significantly longer.

I love Mega Foods. All the checkers are super friendly, produce is fresh, and the meat department always has quality meat. They have a lot of fun things there that you cant find other places. I always shop late so I never get anything from the hot deli, but the leftovers on the hot stand on the sales floor always look delicious.

I love this store. They have a great selection of ethnic and American food. I love their selection of cheeses that are fresh made.

Great place for produce and deli food. Probably the best breakfast burrito you can get for the price, and a wide selection of quality fruits and veggies. Also an actual meat counter and custom cakes.
