Vanesh = beer-geek, legend! Knows all the best local, regional & national craft IPAs & other genres, too. This guy is super humble and a great advocate for enhancing your adult-beverage enjoyment on any given night... just ask him when you stop in. He won't just say 'try this or try that.' He'll ask you your palette likes & dislikes and your taste profile curiosities, and then suggest options. Try this not only for his beer selection, but count on him for the same expertise in spirits & wine as well. Great job! You'll see us again soon. I highly recommend this place for the discerning beer-geek, spirits & wine crowd; it's right near CCSU.

The owner is a really nice guy. He’s very knowledgeable on everything he carries in store, and has phenomenal recommendations based on what you’re looking for. He even recommended a cheaper bottle of wine than the one I was going to buy for my girlfriend. She loved it! He’s just really honest and his recommendations aren’t based on his profit, he’s just looking to help you get what you want. They have pretty much anything you could be looking for. Close to the grocery store, how can you go wrong when running errands...

I was shopping at Campus Wine & Spirits in Stop & Shop Center Fenn Road, Newington 2x per month to purchase wine spending less than $50 each time. Tonight I was picking up some wine and noticed some bottles with orange sale stickers rather than a price tag on the shelf. I picked up 2 bottles which were on sale for $12.99 each with a hand written on the shelf sign and 1 bottle that I thought was $8.99 with an orange small sticker on the bottle. I was talking with the owner / manager ? and swiped my credit card and packed up my wine. When I got home I saw my receipt in the bag with the wine and noticed that the wine that I thought was $8.99 was $53.99. I called Campus Wine & Spirits in the Stop & Shop Center Fenn Road, Newington to tell the owner / manager about my mistake. The owner / manager remembered me and said that you can not return liquor. I asked if that was a CT Law or a store policy. He said he did not know. I told him that I was going to follow up with CT and he said that he doesn't know what other liquor stores do but they do not refund liquor purchases. I told him I was just there less than 1 hour ago and I shop there regularly, that I did not want to keep the $53.99 bottle of wine. He said he would not take it back. I asked him if he realized that I just bought the wine less than 1 hour ago, I called him as soon as I realized, and I would never shop there again if he did not take it back. He said he would not take it back. What a shame, you got rid of that bottle of $53.99 wine but you lost a regular customer. I hope that the bottle of wine is the most delicious that I have ever had. I hope that you learn to treat your customer's better, Campus Wine & Spirits, Stop & Shop Center, Fenn Road, Newington. I checked the return policy for Total Wines and ABC Liquors, and both stores take unopened returns of alcohol. Total Wines is right across the street from West Farms Mall and they have a tremendous selection of everything. Prices are good too at Total Wines.
