I love this place! It's a super tasty, filling, and healthy meal. My favorite is the "Dazed & Confused" rice bowl. The mushrooms in the bowl are my favorite part. It's also a great deal. Highly recommend coming here if you are in the area; I always do when I'm in town.

Full transparency, at first glance the prices kind of caught my eye. Nothing crazy but more than a trip to Taco Bell. But then we opened our boxes and BOOM, worth it!! And then the first bites and we’ve been sold for life (Taco Bell who?)

The portions are beyond expectation so you get your moneys worth hands down.
Presentation is amazing. Flavor is incredible. There’s some sort of lemon pop to the sweet potato wedges that just works so well.

We will be back !!!

Blink and you'll miss this hidden gem on the Berlin Turnpike. Really friendly and fast service. Chicken Empanada is filled to the max with chicken. There are no empty air spaces inside. The Spicy Taco is bursting with flavor. Lots of chicken combined with grilled corn, pickled onions and a spicy slaw makes a perfect taco. The spice/heat level is just right. You can say it leaves your lips tingling for about 5 minutes. They also have a full selection of Hosmer Mountain sodas. This place is fantastic for authentic and fleshly prepared food!

(moved to main street Newington) Ground Beef Taco and a Sweet Chilli Chicken Taco, I added the Sarachi Aoli sauce, Outstanding!!!! So I went back here yesterday after work, I was craving the awesome tacos I had here originally and after my terrible experience at the Glastonbury location, I needed my El Pollo Guapo fix, and again, a great experience. I got 2 sweet chilli chicken tacos and one ground beef w/ 2 sides of the Sriracha aoli sauce, to go. So yummy!! I spoke with the Manager Charlie, I believe that is his name, sorry if I got it wrong, and he was just a breath of fresh air, very concerned with the satisfaction of the customer, great job Charlie, thank you. Go here people, you will be glad you did!! Last pic is from to go sweet chili chicken I took to go, perfect!! I went back again to the New Newington location and got the "Dan that's a Spicy Taco", a Banh Mi Taco and a Ground beef taco. Look at how stuffed they are!! They're the best. New pics attached.

One of my favorite places to grab takeout (up there with Goldburgers, who is only walking distance from here now!) I have tried a number of things, all are great but the rice bowls and / or the veggie quesadilla are my go tos, and the bowls reheat wonderfully the next day too. That said I am not sure you can go wrong. It's mostly just a take out counter and a few small tables, but the service is always prompt, kind, correct, and most importantly, so good.

We did catering and got so many compliments on the food! Everything was hot, fresh and flavorful! Would use their catering again, highly recommend.

We always get take out so I cannot comment on the atmosphere but I believe most people do the same. Food is always good. I do appreciate the changes to the menu once in a while. We enjoy it every time we go!

This is a covid 19 takeout review. All food is eaten fresh in the vehicle. When I saw this place online I thought it had the potential to be really good. Really good is a large understatement. The flavors of my meal simply exploded into a beautiful symphony in my mouth. I had the almost legal bowl, outstanding. I had the bahn mi Taco, outstanding. I had the chicken fat potatoes, outstanding. This place is going onto my very short list of favorites. If I lived closer than 50 minutes away we would all be on a first name basis. On a scale of 0-10 I would rate this 10, my highest rating ever.

Awesome chicken restaurant with multiple locations in the Hartford area. I love the variety of menu items, everything is good! My favs are the dazed and confused bowl, the roasted Brussel sprouts, and most recently the nachos. The chips are cooked fresh in the restaurant and nachos are stacked with toppings. Would pick this over chipotle or Boston market any day!

I’ve always gotten great service and delicious food from here. My favorites are the rice bowls (literally any of them or build your own), the roasted corn, and bag of chickpeas. My takeout orders have always been warm and flavorful.

I have only ordered delivery from this location, for the last four days while in town for work. Everything I have ordered has been amazing. Special shoutout to any of the bowls and the churros.

I rarely do reviews but man… these guys deserve it. Their food is outstanding, the staff is always friendly… and let’s talk about their specials. In a time when every place is shrinking the proportions for the same money, this place LOADS UP all their containers to the brim. I hope if you’re on the fence of whether or not to support them, this is the nudge you need. 10/10 on all accounts.

THIS PLACE IS TO DAMN GOOD . Great quality and amazing flavor . Thankful for the vegan options as well and they are more than delicious it's great. And food always taste fresh.

A friend had taken me here for dinner one night about 2 weeks ago. I have been back 4 times since. I am super impressed by the almost legal bowl, I had it everytime. One day I will try something else but do all those flavors go so well together! The service was always fast and friendly. I hope to get a location closer to my house one day! Well done folks, you have a customer for life.

The food is amazing! Always fresh and full of flavor! I get the "Almost Legal" bowl everytime I go here because it's so damn good! I have had many other things on the menu that are also delicious choices. The crispy brussel sprouts are a favorite for me and the girlfriend as well. We always order them whenever we come here. If you haven't been here, you need to check it out!

Ordered food catered fir a bday party. They were very organized. Everything was accounted for and delicious.

El Pollo Guapo has food that tastes as fresh and flavorful as it looks. From the pickled onions, to the super soft roasted chicken and "Not your Mother's Cole Slaw" you cannot go wrong with the Arroz con Pollo.
The the sweet potatoes had an unexpected crunch to go along with a delicous bite full of thyme and garlic salt.
