I love everything about this store! They have a well stocked variety of authors and the staff is friendly. always helpful! Whenever I'm in the store, I feel like I'm visiting beloved neighbors.

I love the store and the people who work here. They have made some wonderful recommendations and helped me find books my son enjoys reading ...he is not a big reader.

One of my favorite places in Midlothian. Huge selection of books, great place to hangout for a while and browse through all the aisles until you find your hidden gem of a book. Staff is always very friendly and helpful.

Loved it here. They've got a huuuuge selection. Very friendly and helpful staff. Books are very well organized. Quality of books vary depending on previous owners care. I think it's really cool that you can bring in old books you've read and trade them in for credit. It made buying like 13 books at a time much easier to explain to my wife why I suddenly a whole bag-o-books lol I'll be visiting again, as I didn't have time to go through everything. Oh! They also have puzzles. Really cool, you should check em out.

They make it really easy to share books. They also have a great selection.

Used to regularly frequent Book Exchange then moved out of state then back to Richmond. I just rediscovered them and so happy they are staying open.

It's a great, cheap used book store. Selection isn't as great as it used to be, but, well, it's an exchange so can't really blame them for what they get. Staff is friendly and helpful as always; it's a genuine community place.

Been shopping here for decades. New family owns it now, and you can tell that they are passionate about their business, and share a love of books with their customers. Forget Amazon ! Save bucks and try not to spend a whole afternoon browsing aisle after aisle. You won't be disappointed here !

I have loved this book store since I first visited many years ago as a beginning teacher. It has a warm and friendly atmosphere, and the staff is very helpful and welcoming. A great place where you can spend hours looking for just the right book.

The store is clean, organized, and inviting. While I am not a rare book enthusiast and I barely looked in that section, it looks as if they have a lot of rare-looking and at least leather-bound and very old classics.

You'll find something and you'll pay half price for it.

Great bookstore! Very well organized. The place is like a maze of never ending bookshelves. If you can't find something, ask at the front and the folks behind the counter will hunt it down, or tell you right off if they don't have it in. Sometimes you do have to approach them and make a noise (deep readers, they are), but they know a LOT about their inventory.

They only take one paper grocery bag full of books a day in trade for store credit (the policy is posted on the front window), and they really stick to that, so don't be surprised if they turn down a second box or bag. Also, they have to be pretty picky about what they take (the never ending shelves sometimes get crowded). Nevertheless, the selection is fantastic. Maybe you need a new author? Ask the staff. They make excellent recommendations. I like to wander the shelves and see what catches my eye.

Anyway, it's a great place. I seldom leave without finding a book or two.

This is my happy place. They have an incredible selection and great prices the staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. They have a massive selection of books and will help you find anything you need.

What a phenomenal, cute, lil bookstore! This bookstore is 100%, without a doubt, HEAVEN for literature lovers of all ages! The coziest, most jaw-dropping bookstore that I have ever seen! With different sections, low and extremely affordable prices, cozy nooks, comforting atmosphere, splendid employees, and so much more to offer, I would definitely recommend this bookstore. Need a book last minute for a class? They have it! Want a cool puzzle to occupy your free time? They have it! Want some new CD's? They have it! Need a place to keep yourself and your young ones entertained? They have it! They have it all, and I urge you to add this location to your "Want To Visit" list ASAP! Trust me, you won't regret it! :)

This....institution (because it has been there ever since I was a child 30 years ago) is a place that makes one remember why they read. It's that special kind of place one can enter for a Tom Clancy page-turner and leave with an Agatha Christie mystery. It embodies what makes Midlothian a great place to live, too; it has education, tact, and quiet. It is the closest thing I've found to going back to when things weren't so crazy.

I have been a frequenter of the Book Exchange for the past 5 years, I have to say it is the best book store in town. The owner has a very sarcastic sense of humor so don't be deterred if there's a witty remark. The staff is the most helpful and approachable group of people you could ever meet. If you have any questions about books they will answer them and then some more. Great for buying books for middle school and high school English classes. If you are trading in books make sure they are in decent shape. Hard books will only be accepted if they are titles in high demand(recently released).

This is a very quaint second hand bookstore. It has a pretty nice selection of all types of books. I am so glad that the old owner found a buyer for the store and that this wonderful book store did not have to close.

I absolutely love this place! I went in a month or so ago and looked around. They have an excellent book selection.

I intend on going back today and may snap a few pictures.
