Mark is extremely easy to deal with, fair, and prompt with the way he runs his business.

I ordered a rare synthesizer from him, which he shipped in packaging better than factory, and arrived within 3 days even though I ordered on a Friday afternoon. Also the price was better than anywhere else online.

You can't really do better than that. I will definitely be buying more from Retro Gear Shop in the future.

Bought loudspeakers and stands through Retro Gear Shop for delivery to NYC and everything was very smooth. Mark was super helpful. The stands were not available, but he tracked down the yet-to-be-released next generation stands from the U.S. distributor and arranged for shipping of those.

Mark has a ton of amazing gear at crazy good prices. He's not just a salesman, he's not gonna look at you like you're just a wallet to him. He actually cares about the music you're making and wants to help you get the gear that you need to get that sound out of your head and into the real world.

Moreover, he has a deep understanding of music and a very detailed understanding of all the equipment he has. It's not like going to some big corporate guitar shop where nobody knows what they're talking about. Very different experience. I'd highly recommend this shop to any serious musician.

High-end recording studio gear can be a niche market, but Retro Gear Shop specializes in this field with an incredible inventory and knowledge.

Their selection of rare, popular, vintage, and new pieces is unmatched, IMO - comparable to what you'd find second-hand online but with the security of knowing that the gear has been looked through and described honestly by a reputable seller.

Retro Gear Shop has a huge selection of rare audio equipment, new and used. Prices are great and Mark's service is impeccable. Buying gear is fun, but it feels extra good to support an independent music shop. You won't find this stuff at Sweetwater (or anywhere else).

I purchased a Moog Grandmother when I couldn’t find one available anywhere else. Not only that, I was also given a great price on a new model.

I talked with the owner briefly and he is very knowledgeable about what he sells. He gave some pointers on how to integrate the Grandmother with a vintage synth I have since I’m new to modular style synths.

What an audio guy's candy store! Ordered a vintage Shure 330 microphone. Shipped quickly and packed very well. Mic works great - and it's beautiful. Pretty near Mint condition - pretty good for a mic from the 70's!
