My experience with all aspects of The Shade Store has been fantastic!

I was lucky to get Gwen Seidlitz as a designer. She was extremely knowledgeable with an excellent design eye. She listened to all my requirements and dislikes/likes and helped me find exactly what I wanted. I purchased a home that was a new build, so we had to select a variety of window treatments. I'm 100% satisfied with the choices and guidance along the way.

Each install was equally as professional and easy. I had a few installers, and John was very detailed and a great installer. I had an issue with one of the blinds, but that was quickly corrected with a call from John to support.

Overall, I'm very happy with window treatments that will last forever.

After a less than satisfactory experience at a competitor, I decided to visit The Shade Store in Potomac, MD and so glad that I did. I was immediately greeted by a professional who answered all my questions. The appointment for measure and installation was so easy online. I was texted 1/2 hour before their arrival. We had a fantastic experience working with Gwen on selecting/designing our window treatments (roller/UV shades) for a new construction back in December last year. At a time when supply constraints were at their peak, Gwen and team made sure that we got our large order delivered and installed right before our move-in date. Gwen also worked within our budget and made some great design suggestions that we never even considered (e.g., using black UV shades to add contrast to a living room). There was a lot of value added by Gwen and we couldn't have made the aesthetic we were looking for without her expertise. The installation process was easy and done without issue. When we had a technical issue with one of our automatic shades several months after install, Gwen responded immediately and got us set up on the calendar with a technician within 24 hours. There is a lot of pride in doing good work and the team here at The Shade Store will deliver.

Daihana Valladares was an absolute pleasure to work with at the Shade Store in Potomac! She was patient, knowledgable, provided excellent guidance throughout, and was available to answer our constant slew of questions that would arise during the selection process. We never felt rushed from her to make a decision and I genuinely felt as though she wanted to ensure that we were 100% happy with our selection choices. She took the time to meet us in person twice to go over everything and was available via email constantly. It can be a very overwhelming process to select shades for an entire house, and Daihana Valladares made the process as seamless and straight forward as possible. Jill was awesome helping me over the course of months pick out the perfect window treatments, and following up after! There was an issue with one blind, and she immediately got someone out to check on it, and they are replacing it for no cost! Awesome service, amazing quality window treatments, continued service even after installation. Definitely recommend!

We worked with Gwen at the Potomac location and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. We needed window coverings around the whole house and she was so helpful helping us figure out the best type and style for our home. We even had a small issue with install and they rectified it immediately. Top not customer service. Would definitely use them again.

It has been a pleasure working with Gwen Seidlitz from the Potomac, MD store. My interior design firm have done a couple of full house window treatments with her and the experience has been great. She is extremely knowledgeable, patient and detailed. Are there hiccups along the way on large orders (especially during the pandemic)? Yes! But Gwen Seidlitz has been great in assisting with working through the various ordering and installation issues. Great customer service! Ultimately great window treatments installed and I would not hesitate to work with Gwen and the Shadestore again for my future projects!

We purchased and installed 37 window and door treatments in our new home from Gwen. The task of trying to figure out the window treatment style, the right material and the fit with our existing furniture could have been stressful but thanks to Gwen’s patience, expertise and style sense, we were able to complete the selection with ease. We never thought about the potential sun damage to our furniture and art, the infinite options of material, the ease of motorized treatments and the degree of privacy we needed for particular windows in our home. We now enjoy the function and beauty of each window everyday. Gwen always responded quickly to all our questions or concerns. Working with Daihana Valladares was great. She took the time to make sure we were making informed decisions by creating mock-up pictures of our living room with our new shades so we could visualize before purchasing them. She was patient and an excellent consultant through the process.

We had a great experience at the Shade Store in the Cabin John Shopping Plaza. The staff was very helpful is assisting us with the many choices we had for room darkening shades in our bedrooms. Our sales person found a great product for us that was in our price range. We were amazed how fast the measuring, ordering, delivery, and installation occurred. We highly recommend this store. Great customer service.

The designer I worked with was very responsive, solution oriented and engaging. She was consistently available in a timely fashion. The location for the shades is North Conway, NH created was a bit of a challenge for measuring. She directed me to take the measurements which resulted in the shades fitting exactly the way they were suppose to fit. She was courteous and did not make me feel inadequate as I followed her measurement directions. I will return to work with her at the Potomac, Md store. A very quality experience and product.
