Spero's Heroes Comic Book Store

THE ONLY COMIC BOOK STORE YOU NEED. I had the most amazing experience at this wonderful comic book store. I came in hesitant because of past experiences from other comic book stores. Kevin immediately greeted me and provided so much information about the store, he was warm and welcoming. He introduced the entire crew at the store, including the lovely owner of the establishment, Elliot. Kevin was very knowledgeable and kind to help me find my first comic. After purchasing they do a trivia question among 4 categories to chose from. I selected Star Wars and upon answering the question correctly, you win a FREE comic from a WIDE selection. They were so kind spirited, welcoming, helpful, and generous. It is RARE to come across people like them but I am so happy I found this place. I will forever recommend this place to everyone. This place is truly phenomenal.

Had the pleasure of being introduced to this comic store by a friend and I HIGHLY recommend checking this store out. Great vibes, and the staff is super friendly and make you feel welcome instantly. I had so much fun on my comic run and can't wait to go back. Definitely one of the best comic book stores in the Valley.

I’m a big fan of Spero’s Heroes! If back issues are your thing, then Spero’s is for you. They have a ton of comics from every era but they are best known for their Silver Age and Early Bronze. That being said, I’ve also picked up some of my best favorite modern keys here!

The employees are extremely friendly and have extensive knowledge on comics and collectibles. Elliot, the owner, is a scholar and a gentleman and all around a stand up guy.

This place is the perfect example of the classic comic shop where you can dig through long boxes for hours and always discover something new.

Wow. Didn't know looking through so much backlog of comics could be so much fun!. Great staff! Fun and super knowledgeable . The trivia there is super fun and makes shopping for comic books a great time!

The store is a nice place to visit more than once if you wish to purchase comics. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the prices are reasonable. After purchasing a comic, it is always a pleasure to participate in trivia!

After having some what of a long day My girlfriend and I decided to check out this Comic Book store down the street from a place we were having lunch at. Right from the very beginning they welcomed us with open arms and introduced themselves to us and gave us all the information we needed to know of their fine establishment. After meeting all of them and being well informed we started browsing through the boxes to see what caught our eye. Though seeing as how I’ve not brushed up on my comic book hobby and she hasn’t read a comic book and wanted to start she asked what recommendations they had and they were super sweet and helpful and gave her and myself some good insight on what we should look out for and what we should get as opposed to getting lost if we were to pick up a random issue thats half way through a story. Needless to say both of our experiences were phenomenal and I would implore anyone who is into comics or anyone wanting to get into them to come here and check it out, They are super friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help anyone and everyone! A big thank you to the staff I will be coming back again, Maybe a weekly thing for my girlfriend and myself. :)

I stopped by the shop yesterday while killing some time in Chatsworth. I had never been before and I am sorry i have been missing out on this great shop all my life. The staff was awesome. Friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I particularly want to shout out Kevin who helped me dig through the crates to find an old 80s Transformers issue I needed to plug a hole in my collection. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a shop with a great selection of back issues and toys. Fair prices and friendly staff.

Brought my 8yr daughter by the store today for her first time purchasing comics. Everyone working was extremely helpful and welcoming, especially to my young child who didn’t know what she was looking for. I 100 percent recommend anyone looking for a comic book store to shop here.

This was the first comic book shop I’ve ever been too. They make sure that everyone that goes there leaves happy. The staff there are probably the kindest I’ve ever met. The community that comes here are also probably the kindest I have met. This shop also has the best prices of anywhere nearby. I would recommend this to everyone with even the slightest interest in comics, because this shop is the best place to get them.

If you’re looking for a GREAT comic book store on LA, you need to check out Spero’s Heroes. Great selection and very knowledgeable folks. You really feel welcome in the store, just like chatting with old friends. I spent 3+ hours with my wife in the store today and the time flew by. Definitely give them a chance.

So great! They were so supportive, and their selection is immaculate. The $1 comics are awesome!

My wife took me to Spero's a few months back for my birthday. We planned on spending thirty minutes hunting for comics but ended up spending over two hours there taking to some of the kindest and caring people we've met, Reza, Elliott and Loki. Since that first stop, I've visited hidden on multiple occasions and just redeemed my first stamp card at their Halloween event!

Although they have great comics and get fresh produce weekly, it's the people that keep me coming back. Reza runs the store like its his own and treats every customer like they're a guest in his home. Kevin is a wonderful conversationalist and always shows genuine interest in whatever I'd like to talk about. Loki is the shop's secret weapon as she fills the room with energy and laughter. Last but certainly not least, Elliott, the godfather, is responsible for creating this special culture that keeps me and so many others coming back. You can tell he loves comics, but he loves people more than anything.

If you're looking for comics, this is the place. If you're looking for comics and an LCS that will capture your heart, look no further than Spero's.

This place is hands down the best comic book shop I have ever been to! The selection they have is amazing!! Came in just to browse ended up leaving with a door Spawn action figure and a FREE comic! Definitely recommend this place to anyone starting their collection or avid collectors!

An amazing store with a knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, and welcoming staff.

It was my daughter's first time at a comic store and we couldn't have picked a better store or group of people to introduce her to the world of comic books.

Updated to include our second visit: Staff still fabulous. Loki is always a great help and the "teenage whisperer". The manager, forgot his name, is incredibly knowledgeable.

We've visited a few other comic book stores since our first visit and their prices are by far the best for used and collectable comics we've seen so far. They also pay the highest percentage when they decide to buy comics.

Everyone who works there lives and loves comics and is excited to interact and assist people walking in. Not the biggest or fanciest comic book store, but probably the store with the biggest heart. Every comic book reader should visit this store or a store like it at least once in their life.

Its always an absolute pleasure to walk into Spero's. What an incredible community of people in the shop! Always fun, knowledgeable, and friendly environment. I highly recommend spending time in the shop and talking to the wonderful people of Spero's.
