This mom and pop store is a little Aladdin’s cave of spices, herbs, remedies, and a large variety of canned, dried, frozen and fresh produce; everything you may need for a meal inspired by the cuisines of the Indian subcontinent. These folks are also super friendly, always up for a chat about food or philosophy, if you feel like it.

This place is the best. Owner is so knowledgeable and friendly. He will help you find whatever you need to make the perfect Indian meal. Prices are reasonable and won’t hurt the pocket book. If I could only shop there for everything I would!! It is the bomb. 💜💜💜

Good samosas for a good price! Lots of Indian food and snacks at good prices too

Very friendly, and the selection is beautiful! I have been able to find most of what I need for Indian cooking so far. They also had some fresh potato samosas which were incredible my last visit.

I drove across town today to try this store. It was very well kept and the owners were friendly and attentive. The store has a big selection and I was able to find all the ingredients I needed for a new recipe. My one note was that the prices were not marked so I didn’t immediately know how much my purchase would total. Overall, I did find the prices to be reasonable on my receipt and will be back when I make my next new recipe.

Gita and Jaypal run this perfect little family-owned shop with efficiency, incredible service and personal warmth. I love going there and am always greeted when I walk in!
They’ve created the most complete Indian food store in the tri-county Charleston area. Each aisle is packed with fresh, healthy and often organic foods that enable us to cook our favorite dishes. Gita’s superb hand-made chutneys and ready-made side dishes are in the cooler….try her tomato chutney—-addictive!
Ask Jaypal about Ayurvedic remedies, learn more about Hindu holidays and customs or just hang out to meet other foodie friends. I buy my Dosa ingredients for Masala Dosa there and return over and over to try new things. If you are lucky, chef Gita might even give you a family recipe!

Family run grocery store. Wonderful experience, owners are very helpful and knowledgeable, and make some of the most delicious chutney in town! True authentic Indian experience run by local, home grown folks. I shop here regularly.

Well stocked, clean, and super helpful staff. Even the customers are great. It was a day of Indian food exploration, curating, followed by a immersive cooking experience making dishes from the goods purchased. Will add photos of the 4 dishes made.

I love this place! Fresh, delicious spices, grains and meats. The owners are incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable. We left with amazing food, fresh spices and a few tidbits of useful knowledge. This is the place to go for fresh, high quality groceries.

This place is so nice. Lots of products in a small space. The store was clean & well organized. The owners were very nice. Their store felt cozy and inviting. A great place to stop in and purchase some plantain chips and chai tea. So glad I found this store while I was in vacation. Go visit this store.

A lot of different foods, good prices

I love this place. The home-made to go food is delicious. The owners are so friendly. They are happy to chat about how to use the ingredients offered in their store. One owner chatted with my 7 year old picky eater about Indian food, and when we got home my son tried the to go chana masala and liked it! Prior to talking to the owner, he'd been unwilling to try Indian food.

I love this place! Great selection of South Asian groceries, nice produce, and great owners who go above and beyond to meet my needs. I just moved to Charleston and feels so good to have a reliable Indian grocery store.

We LOVE shopping here! They have a wide variety of items from cooking to clothing. We are here at least every other week, if not weekly. We used to love going out to lunch at Nirlep weekly but by visiting this store we are now able to have our favorite meals at home, much healthier.

The owner is a very nice, caring, and knows about all his products. They are very cultural. The store smells so delicious! They are very accommodating there. Check it out you will not be disappointed. I will be going back for sure!

My friend and I had not been in the store in 2yrs but the owner remembered us! They are so welcoming and have a large supply of spices and dry goods as well as fresh produce, meats, and ready-made cooler items and fresh-made treats. Great prices too. 👍🏼👍🏼
