Vel Mac Foods and the owner Tony is by far the worst company I've worked for as a driver . The manager jeff who's in charge of the drivers is often calling the employees phones and yelling and cursing at them if they make a mistake . The owner Tony is not paying drivers for all of the time while on the job . He only pays you for 8 hours each day when you could be out on the road from 10-12 hours . Some of his clients are very racist against people of color and tony (the owner) is very racist . A guy at one of the supermarkets stole a handtruck off of my truck and tony and the company charged me for it and tony told me it was my responsibility and that I should've known better because All Spanish people including Dominicans and Puerto Rican's steal and they are all liars . Then he proceeds to laugh about it . If you're doing business with this company or you are employed by them . Beware . Vel Mac has a high turnover rate for drivers and some of the things mentioned above could be the reason why . I am filing a complain with the New Jersey department of labor and I'm also going to reach out to all of his vendors and send them this memo .
