Art & Frame of Sarasota

I had a good experience with this art and frame shop, they have a lot of different styles and I love them all. Today I had three pictures framed which was a new experience for me. Susan was very helpful, friendly and professional.

Absolutely FANTASTIC. I came in needing acrylic paint came out with much more from brushes, paint, sketch book, and more. They had everything I needed and MORE. It can be pricey but SOOOO worth it. Getting the best of the best art supplies. I HIGHLY recommend. Count me in as a new regular each month. They have so much it was hard to chose from and really high quality. I’m a professional artist and do all my professional work with cheap supplies. NEVER again. They have from beginner supplies to experts and beyond. Will absolutely be back.

First off, ignore the long string of negative reviews you see on here. They aren’t based in reality. I’ve found that their comments are baseless.

I came in looking for natural hair brushes, copper oil paint, and really specific shades of blue acrylic paint. The staff was very knowledgeable and you could tell they actually use the products they sell! Everyone there was very friendly as well!

Art stores used to be just like this shop in the 90s before the big box stores deleted them. Quality and availability of art products have really gone down hill at other places. This shop however is a treasure trove of professional quality supplies. This was my first trip to this store and I’ll definitely be back.

The prices are beyond reasonable! They have a very large selection of paints, brushes, and solvents. It’s three whole levels of store.

This may not look like much from the outside, but this is hands down the best art store in the Sarasota area. The prices are fantastic, the selection is incredibly extensive, and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I am going to be shopping here quite often.

Art & Frame has a huge selection of frames and their staff is experienced and knowledgeable. Susan was particularly helpful at selecting the right mat/frame options for my artwork.

I had the pleasure of finding this gem today. The ladies working there were very kind and knowledgeable! Best shop to buy brushes, art supplies, and more!

Been coming here for the past 6 years. It is affordable, even when I was making minimum wage, which was $8.25. The people are always nice, kind and patient. It took me 5 minutes to describe what kind of book I needed and they were able to find it in almost 30 seconds. Truly one of my favorite art shops that I will go to whenever I need them.

Quality paints Brushes sketch Books pretty much the cream of the crop for art supplies. it was a pleasure to find everything I needed under one roof with staff that were knowledgeable and welcoming. Awesomeness squared

This is THE art store. Their prices are so affordable and their products are QUALITY. There is a wonderful selection of tools and supplies. After going here once, I go back to this place every time. They even have a rewards system where you gain 1 point per dollar you spend towards $10 off at 200 points- that's 5% cash back! I'm really happy with the framing work and experience I had here. I was trying to match the frame style of a new picture to another piece that I'd already had hanging for a while. They helped me figure out a good slightly modernized frame style and matting with border that matches pretty much perfectly. The back is very secure and the hardware/wire is top notch.

I can't say I get things framed all that often, but my project came out really nice, so I have zero complaints.

I was passing through town, found this store online, and thought I'd give it a try. The clerk was so helpful. I gave her a list of art supplies I needed for a gouache painting class and she helped me find everything. Very grateful for the friendly service.

The best art store in Florida. It has such a unique layout and the best customer service. They have products that I've never seen before at other art stores. They support their local artist community by holding events and classes. I visit regularly and am never disappointed.

Love this place! It is WAY bigger than it looks from the outside; the layout is easy to navigate, with relating items next to each other. They have a massive selection, and the staff is always very friendly and helpful! You can even order on their website and select 'Pick up in store' (and, as long as the item is currently in stock, your order is almost always ready to pick up that very same day). I can't say enough great things about this place! :)

Parking is not too good. But you can go around back and there's plenty. Selection is very good. This is a very nice art store. Lots of illustration board. Which is what I used to paint and draw on.

My favorite art supply store in Florida! I literally drive over an hour to go here. Worth it!
Everything is very organized, easy to find. They carry some of the best brands of fine arts and supplies. Huge selection of Faber Castel. I always find something unique I didn't know I needed!

Very surprised from the modest exterior to find one of the most extensive and complete art supply stores I've ever visited. Prices are comparable to on line retailers. Great selection of Escoda brushes, not widely sold in this country.

This place is the best art supplies store anyone could ask for. It's much larger than it looks from the outside, and has everything from COPIC markers, to giant sheets of beautiful craft paper, to hand-mixed blocks of clay for ceramics, reasonably priced desks and easels, and more. The staff are also very knowledgeable, helpful, and easy to talk to. I've never had a bad experience here.

Art & Frame is truly one of Sarasota's hidden gems, and I'd recommend it to anyone.
