India Bazaar

I've really grown to like this little Bazaar. They have a good variety of dried and pre-prepared food. Pretty nice fresh veggie section- just small. It's kind of become my go-to place.

Visited today! If you are looking for condiments, sauces, spice mixes etc this is your place. Many snacks and a large freezer section. I suggest you know the cuisine before you go. I know little about cooking Indian food so for me it was exploring my culinary possibilities. Its a good store people going in and out with full bags.. Not an “Asian Market”- its pretty much only Indian Cuisine! tons of different spice mixes!! Clean store, helpful friendly staff. Nice market!!

This place is great for Indian groceries. Vegetables are fresh as ever. They keep a lot of refrigerator items as well. Highly recommend. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Grocary are very well done as well as good food need

If you're not using whole spices in your Indian foods, and getting them cheap in bulk like this place has, you're doing it wrong. India Bazaar has everything you need for any type of cuisine or region in Indian cooking. Also, very friendly and things are easy to find. High quality as well. They even have pretty good desserts like gulab jamun (mix of made) and ladoo.

Has a lot of whole spices for great prices. Has a huge rice selection of basmati of course and Jasmin too. Has fresh vegetables and tons of dry goods to choose from. Even a frozen section as well.The man asked right away after ringing out a customer if I needed help and even showed me where something was. He was nice checking out too. Friendly little shop. Will update my review later when I visit again. They have tons of spices and ingredients. Perfect place to start and buy from when you are serious about making good indian food as authentic as you can from home. Especially with the pandemic. Will definitely shop again with how organized the shop was. I have always bought my basmati in popular large markets and I will never again. Iv never had rice taste so good at home. Taste like its straight from the indian restaurants. Whole spices make a huge difference compared to ground which you can find anywhere. The prices you cant beat I think compared to other indian shops in the area.

I've only been here once, but the cashier was extremely helpful and offered to help me find stuff the moment I walked in the door. He walked me to the aisles for everything I needed but also didn't linger by me every second, which I appreciated. They had everything I needed to make a dhal curry dish I had found a recipe for online, and the prices are pretty decent too.

Pretty good selection of items, and reasonable prices. Excellent selection of pickles and frozen items. Their pre-made dosa mix is excellent, too...!

Update 06/02/2019:

This continues to be my go-to store for Indian groceries. Whether it's vegetables, snacks, spices, rice, coffee, pickles, ghee, fish, utensils - you name it, they have it! Sure, it's not one of those giant stores in Edison, but for me, it's the next best thing. You'll probably find one or two things missing, but for a South Indian like me, this place is awesome! 😊👍

One suggestion: prices are often not clearly marked, which is frustrating.

Excellent place for Indian grocery shopping, polite and helpful staff, ample parking, convenient location, well organized and clean. Vegetables were fresh, we liked this place for Indian grocery shopping.

Visited the place while I went to RPI nearby. They have remarkable variety of brands for most stock items. I had not even heard of a few brands before. So full marks to the owner on variety front. Perhaps the organic varieties could be enhanced if it makes financial sense.

Most desi items are available and fresh.
Have a lot of choices to choose from

Great place.
Got most things someone from the Caribbean would need.
Staff is friendly and iles are spacious.
Not like some stores you go to that you can't even turn around in.

A full service grocery store that is always well stocked, inviting, clean & staffed with kind & helpful staff. They have the best variety of indian frozen & convenience foods in the region. They also carry newspapers & entertainment items. They're a hub of local events in the Indian community.

Excellent place to buy Indian groceries. They get fresh vegetables every Thursday. Quality of groceries is probably the best in Capital district.

Best place in the area for fresh Indian vegetables (especially on Thursdays and Fridays). Staff is very friendly and helpful. I have been going here for the past 20+ years.

India Bazaar is well known place for Indian grocery in capital Region , Would definitely recommended for any Indian Grocery, The store people are friendly as well.

Good Indian store at reasonable price. When I visited, there were no good fresh vegetables, I am not sure this this is the case every day.
