The staff here is very friendly. The owner, Brian is also super awesome and helpful. They're very much on the fact of helping their customers. I have purchased several rackets from this shop over the last 5 years. As a coach at a high school, I send all my kids here to buy their rackets. I would recommend checking them! They also have a great demo program for those who are not sure what racket may be best for them.

Being new to tennis, my partner and I deeply appreciated the great service from Will at the shop. He patiently addressed our questions and guided us to rackets that not only suit our beginner needs but will also serve us well as we advance. The shop's selection and expertise are top-notch. Love the folks at Player’s! Everybody I’ve interacted with there are friendly, knowledgeable, responsive and always willing to go the extra mile. I worked with Brandon over the phone to place an order for two racquets that I had demoed and enjoyed, and we agreed on a Wednesday pickup time.

Well luck would have it I end up breaking the strings on the demo on Monday night! So I called on Tuesday morning and asked if there was any chance I could have one of the racquets strung by the end of the day for a match that I had later in the evening. Brandon said they’d get one done by then. Well when I walked in on Tuesday, he had both already ready to go, and they even labeled the individual tension on each racquet! On top of that, they had it spec matched for me so that both racquets were the same weight. Talk about going above and beyond.

They were even so nice to offer a discount on the pair of new racquets. I love supporting local businesses and the local tennis community. Even though I might be able to find a slightly more competitive price thru the online used forums, it’s the quality of work, level of service, and attention to detail that keeps me coming back to Player’s time and time again. Excellent customer service and great prices (especially for students)! I’m from Alaska and was looking for a new racket, since many places up here don’t sell them. Even though my package got lost in the mail, issues were resolved smoothly and everyone at the store was very gracious and professional. My experience here inspired me to leave a review and I can’t recommend them enough.

I usually go online to buy tennis shoes because I was finding good deals and a lot of selection. BUT lately the online websites seemed out of stock on almost all the sizes and the prices seem to have gone way up online too. So I came into Players and was really wowed. They had a great selection of shoes at very reasonable prices, the staff was so helpful to find shoes that would work for my feet and my tennis style and they had much better availability of my size than I could find elsewhere too! Super great experience and nice to get back to trying on shoes before I buy them - so hard to find a good fit otherwise. Thanks Players!

I’m a beginner tennis player and found other stores in the area not very interested to help me get set up with the equipment I needed. But, Josh and the rest of the staff were super helpful and friendly and answered allllll of my questions. They hooked me up with an awesome racquet, and a few little extra freebies. Customer for life with these guys! Highly recommend!

I purchased the Player's Racquet Shop designed PlayerFormance "Dink Beast" Pro Series .007 and played in a few league matches the same evening. I had a very positive outcome. The paddle performance was phenomenal!

Just stopped by to pick out a racquet for my daughter. Prices and customer service was so good, that I decided to pick up a new racquet for myself too! Excellent store. Same prices (or better) as the big internet stores, but with fantastic local customer service, advice, and help. Highly recommend.

As essentially the only game in town, it would be easy for owner Brian to get complacent BUT instead he has continued to evolve Player's. Having been a customer for over 25 years, this new location and familiar staff are the best iteration yet. The new store is spacious, well designed, sleek, with a good flow where you can shop for everything tennis (racquets, strings, bags, shoes, clothes, and balls), pickle ball, badminton, and racquetball/handball. In a time where people try to do everything online, I find it much better to support a local small business than some sort of warehouse. Especially when you consider that Player's prices are about the same but without paying and waiting for shipping, worrying about porch pirates, plus their demo program is top notch. The selection of demo racquets includes all popular models and many more niche/obscure racquets people like me use (and the $20 fee goes toward the purchase of a racquet anyway). What has takes the store to the next level are the people. Brian is obviously a fixture and helps out local schools. Ross has been a consistent friendly helpful face who is like the Uncle I wish I had. The best change in the last several years is McKenna. She's extremely helpful, with an encyclopedic knowledge of racquets and string which clearly reflects on a passion for the game. For my money, she's also the BEST racquet stringer in Portland/Beaverton (and probably all of Oregon too). She has an incredible attention to detail and I've never had a bad racquet done by her (uncommon these days). It helps that Player's has the most current stringing machines, but a tool is only as good as the hands that use it. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
