I came in with ALL three kids in tow. 9,7, and 2. My boys are signed up for 2 different sports soccer and baseball. There first season.

As I stared blankly and overwhelmed in the Soccer section an AMAZING woman named Ginger came over and asked if I need any help.

She was incredibly sweet and patient. Not only with me on my lack of knowledge on the sports or the equipment needed but with my kids who wasted no time in asking her a million questions.

She was not only able to help me gather everything I needed but also honored and respected my request for items on a budget! She helped me sort thru clearance and provided color options for my boys who were thrilled to have choices and I was thrilled with the prices!

This woman is worth her weight in gold and definitely deserved a raise!!

I was very doubtful about buying a canopy, but decided to go to this store and bought it after touching the physical item. Good warranty.
Buying online is a great risk when you don't know the brand.
Give it a try.

I went to get me a pair of Crocs. They were on sale and I had a coupon and I got them for a great price.

Wow is the first word to comes to my mind, absolutely amazing inventory and great prices.

They had the ammunition I needed and they were capable of explaining the difference between the different boxes of ammunition. They don't offer military discounts daily. However, there are times throughout the year that its offered.

I shopped at Academy when we lived in Texas for a few years and was excited to see it expand into NC.
This location in Burlington does a pretty good job keeping items neat and in the proper place. It's clean and I haven't interacted with an unfriendly associate yet.
There's almost always some good deals going on and regular pricing is still reasonable if you can't wait for an item.

The store was clean and the employees was there to help if u needed them and they were very friendly .I will be going back there the prizes are good .

Couldn’t find a cage to trap a stray cat, but did find the other two items I went after. A great selection of sporting goods, athletic shoes and pants. Found a great deal on jeans and work pants. I was also able to find three Christmas presents. I will definitely be a returning customer.

I contacted the Burlington NC store, because the Apex, NC store hung up on me 5 times. I talked to Stefon, one of the managers, he could not have been more helpful. He took the time to explain how to find the product info that I was looking for. Stefon is a five star employee!

Came here and bought a firearm and some bikes. I am really impressed on the overall atmosphere here. Extremely helpful staff and the people who are run the firearm desk are beyond helpful. Gary helped me choose the right gun I wanted and he also showed me some things I didn’t know. They don’t try and rush you to pick something out. They immediately acknowledged my presence when I walked over there. Even if they’re helping someone, they still acknowledge you to let you know they will be right with you. They have a ton of bikes to choose from. Really clean store as well.

I have nothing bad to say about Academy! I go here almost every other day! The staff is always willing to help me out when I need it. I have bought everything from grills to fishing equipment and hunting gear with no complaints. If you ever want to know if something is in stock just check online and it’s usually pretty accurate about what inventory they have at the store.
