Great hobby store. Asked a lot of questions on trains and they were super patient and forthcoming with assistance. As I am just starting the hobby I will be back to get trains and supplies.

Love this shop. I am the second generation going here. My father started when he was a child and he bought me. Prices are reasonable and the staff are very friendly and helpful

A fellow modeler recommended Apponaug. A good call, shop did not disappoint. A modest but solid model selection, found a kit I was looking for. If you're into trains, this place rules. Clean, well appointed, and Charles is friendly and inviting. Do yourself a favor and check them out.

Great shop to bring kids. Tons of toy and hobby trains, complete with train set that kids can operate with push of a button, but also a big supply of model cars, planes, rocketships, tanks, etc. for a range of ages. Bonus is the train whistle that blares from the roof when you leave.

Timeless model shop. Sets the bar for the way all other shops should be. If I can give a hundred stars, I would.

Wanted to start on doing monster and horror models without any experience. I spent 20 minutes talking with a staff member who was immensely helpful, broke down the things I needed, recommended videos for beginners to follow, and offered any additional help if I had more questions. Store is clean and has a wide selection of all kinds of models with all kinds of examples on display. If you’re starting out or just looking for a friendly local place for models I can’t recommend here enough.

This is a awesome local hobby shop, great for all of your model hobby needs. I was visiting the area and found them with easy just down from the airport. The salesperson was friendly and helpful. The store was packed with everything from trains to die cast and military. I went in looking to see what a East Coast store looks like and came away with some great deals. The guy working that day brought me right over to close out box and gave me some great advice on techniques, too. I went back a few days later and picked a few more items that would fit in my suitcase. Hopefully I'll get back that way someday as it's definitely worth stopping in.

A great, well stocked hobby shop with something for the young, old and everyone in between! With a courteous and friendly owner who is an expert on the wide variety of products that he sells, and who also knows a lot about the history of the hobby industry. A customer can learn a lot when shopping (or just browsing) here. And look upwards at the incredible overhead display of old model trains and toys. It is a veritable museum inside a hobby shop! The store is clean, well lit with wide aisles and everything displayed for sale on nice shelves and in beautiful glass cases. I have been a customer since 1967 (model trains, ships, planes, cars and trucks for 55 years continuously!) and my experience is that this has always been, is now, and will always be the best hobby shop around - Period!.. Do yourself a favor and make a visit.

I'm just starting out with model railroading and know next to nothing about the hobby. I went in yesterday with my family, and both of the gentlemen in the shop were incredibly helpful. They took the time to explain some of the basics to us and gave us a table schematic to get us started. Great selection of scenery and locomotives. Looking forward to going back again soon!

They have everything you need and are very helpful. Prices are great and they have a huge selection of Tamiya paints. With all the online shopping of today, it's nice to be able to walk in and find exactly what you were looking for. It's also convenient when you're in the middle of a project and need something beacuse they most likely have it. 5/5

This hobby shop has both trains and models. I am a modeler so my review mostly applies to that. They have a wide selection of models, better than any shop I've found around RI. They carry Tamiya paints, glue and other Tamiya products. The staff is generally knowledgeable and always helpful. This shop is my go to for most all of my hobby needs

I can't say enough good things about this store. It' s a wonderful, long-lasting family store that perfectly caters to your hobby needs. I came in for the first time today and the owner was so helpful and friendly. It just goes to show how a family business will take better care of you than some chain.

This shop has been at the same location since 1950. If nothing else, this shop is worth a visit just to see the antiques and other railroad nostalgia. The owner is as knowledgeable in model railroading than anyone I have spoken to. Everything I have ever needed on my HO scale layout is available. Huge amount of engines and cars. I love this place and visit at least three times a month, I highly recommend it

I have been coming here for over 30 years and have re-bought model kits that i had built 30 years ago. The place is a modeler's dream whether or not you are into trains, model cars, and yes slot cars! Not only do you get great products but you develope long term friendships and feel like you are part of the family. Buying on the internet doesn't even give you the great experience you get at this RI gem. Keep up the good work Charlie!

Fantastic local shop! I am in the process of building a miniature of my living room and needed some random supplies. This place had a ton of great things that I needed and the prices were super reasonable! The gentlemen I presume to be the owner was super helpful and incredibly kind throughout the experience. Will definitely be back!

Super nice old school family run hobby shop. Great talking to parents, kids, or professionals. They are genuinely interested in helping. Definitely a customer for life.

Took an old train there for repair. Was done quickly and economically, Chuck was a great help and gave good advice for how to introduce my kids to the same hobbies I enjoy as well as bringing my 50 year old trains into the new millennium.

We just happen to see this while driving around town. The owner, Charles, was very helpful and knowledgeable. Don’t get fooled by the name of the shop because when you go in it’s really like a museum because there are so many beautiful collection of trains, toys, etc. As a group we really enjoyed the experience looking around and shopping there.

Charlie and company are the best in the state in for a good reason, selection service and price. I have been a customer since before I could remember when I started going into the shop in the early 70s with my dad who was a customer for many years. A great selection of model kids, trains, slot cars, and other fun hobby items. Even if you don't build models there's something there for you!
