🦇 Black Cat Bodega is the BEST witchy/metaphysical/gift shop in Grand Rapids, hands down! 🙌

🖤 Not only is the gothic decor and aesthetic absolutely stunning, but there are so many wonderful and unique items tucked into every nook and cranny of the store. The stock is also constantly changing and rotating, so there's always something new and exciting to see. The shop offers supplies for witchcraft like herbs, decks, crystals, candles, and smudges, but also goodies anyone can enjoy, like bath products, antiques, art, perfumes, and clothes.

The owner, Lorin, is warm and welcoming, and sources as much as possible from local artists and small, women-owned businesses. Women supporting women?? We love to see it! 💪

Black Cat Bodega has also recently opened their downstairs space to host tarot readings, events, and more to their Black Cat Members, (the space is just as beautiful as the shop upstairs) and I love that Lorin is going above and beyond to build genuine connections in her community. 🧹

It’s so nice having a space in Grand Rapids where I belong, this shop is not all love and light which is what I LOVE about it. Everything is unique and I buy all of my earrings and herbs (yay for sourcing things ethically) here. 10/10 recommend for any witches, herb lovers, or anyone into the Victorian/spooky/goth vibe because this place is it.

The perfect occult store with so much selection 😍 of cards, oils, ritual tools, candles, even bones to use for readings. I am thrilled to find this place so close by. If you've not had a chance to go , you don't know what your missing. I'll be compiling my video on tik tok tonight

Definitely the coolest metaphysical gift shop in Michigan. The vibe and asthetic is fantastic, and they have a very cool selection of items and artwork from local vendors, as well as crystals and books. I had a great experience here! And I cannot wait to go back

Tons of great items to browse through. Gothy decor, incense, perfumes, lotions, jewelry. Quirky dark gift ideas. Both of my young adult kids love this shop.

I could live here! A fabulous metaphysical boutique with vintage clothing and vinyl in the back. A little something for everyone! The owner Lorin is so careful and thoughtful in the items she selects to sell and a wonderful conversationalist to boot! I have told everyone I know to shop here and I don’t see myself stopping anytime soon. Highly recommend!

Staff is always so welcoming and nice. The Owner always comments on things we buy and tells us about similar products coming soon and we never hesitate to come back!
I enjoy that this little shop has local artist products as well.
The only negative thing could say is that sometimes I can't tell what's for sale and what's just store decor but that doesn't stop me from enjoying everything and happy to be back soon for all the Halloween products!

My new favorite store! A few years back, I moved from southeast Michigan to the west side of the state and sorely missed a particular shop in the town I lived most my life. Black Cat Bodega has completely filled that missing piece, and then some. It’s a place you want to hang out in and bask in the atmosphere. Love all the offerings and have gotten a number of beautiful stones and unique pieces to adorn my home. Highly recommend this gem of a shop!

THIS IS THE SPOT! This is my favorite spiritual/metaphysical shop I’ve been to. They carry quality products from small brands who care about their products. I was so surprised to see a lot of the stuff i buy directly at this shop! We found them on a short trip but I will definitely be back for this shop!

Beautiful local store for all your witchy woo-woo needs. It is a delightful assault on the senses as soon as you walk in. Be prepared to take your time and see all the things in each area. You will find something to delight in! As the local owners passion project, the antique displays and taxidermy collections make you feel that you have stepped into an otherworldly collection of goodies. Great place to find gifts for that hard-to-buy-for spirit in your life (or afterlife).

This place is so cool and well thought out. There's something for everyone, but it's cohesive at the same time. It was serving serious The Craft vibes and I can't say I've been in another store like that in Michigan. Hannah was very nice and helpful in assisting me find what I was looking for. She was also very informative and great to talk to. I will definitely be back, but in the meantime go check this unique and welcoming store for yourself.

This place is so cool!!! The cashier at Gypsy Traders told me about it because I was looking for sage bundles. But this cool little occult shop has crystals, books, jewelry, records, handmade items and so much more for all of us who love dark and creepy things. My new favorite place 😍

I live nearby and finally visited today to find a few gifts for family members. I was so delighted at what I found. The shop is really beautiful and curated so well. I'm not that even into mystical offerings but I was pleasantly surprised at the variety of items they offered. Something for everyone. Definitely worth a visit!
