This location is my go to Winco. The prices are great and employees are helpful. I'm not crazy about u-scans separated into "card only" and "cash and card" lines. I liked it better before when all the u-scans had both options at each station. That made more sense. Now it creates a back-up and confusion a lot of the times.

Great grocery store, prices are comparable to other places, but still hit or miss on deals and products. Staff always friendly and helpful. Coffee for days and reminds me of the "Wall of Sound", in this case a wall of coffee. If you get the reference, you move to the front of the line...😎 ☝🏼

Service is terrific, inventory is fantastic, and the prices are 20% lower than Fred Meyer, Safeway and any other grocery chain. I have shopped at this location for over 4 years, and it is by far the best.

Twice in three years have i gone to this WinCo and not found what I was looking for. The staff is always super nice, knowledgeable, and downright neighborly in helping me with anything I am looking for. I cant remember her name but the cashier with the red hair is one of my favorite people and one of the reasons I keep coming back. She is so nice, personable, and fast. The selection of products that this WinCo provides is awesome. I keep finding new favorite things that i can only find at WinCo. Great store. Great people. Great food.

I have been going here weekly since they opened and feel lucky that they're still part of my neighborhood. The people who work here are so kind, patient and helpful given what they have to endure (tons of shop lifting, mental health emergencies, managing the bottle return, and a parking lot that is essentially Thunderdome). Other than that, what else can I say, they're cheaper than most grocery stores, the bulk section rocks, and 50% of the shopping carts are so broken they sound like masonry jack hammers. It's all part of the charm.

You gotta understand, this store is actually miraculous and it's workers are like warrior angels.
Have you ever taken a look arourd the area where the store is located? You know what I mean...
The fact this store has remained open, and actually retains the employees that they do is AMAZING. I love shopping here and getting that West Bank feeling.
My only criticism is that they need MORE security, with bigger guns.
(I'm not being sarcastic, I grew up in the flats, it's paradise).

Super sketchy area but the prices are highly affordable! Reminds me of shopping groceries in Florida.

Boy, does winco come through in a pinch. They're only open til midnight, but that's at least an hour better than any of the other grocery stores. And the prices at winco way better than almost all of the other grocery stores. Honestly when I look at the amount of groceries I'm leaving with at another store, I feel insulted. I feel taken advantage of. So thank you very much winco.

I like having this budget food option near me. I usually shop at New Seasons but it's getting way too expensive and the quality is dropping fast. This Winco is very multicultural. Even many of the Caucasians are not from the USA originally and have a strong eastern accent.

There are big homeless camps across the street. The parking lot is scary. I would recommend if you are a woman maybe don't shop here after dark even though it's open late.

The food selection is very good and the prices are excellent. These days there are fewer cashiers and the automated check out area is cramped and not big enough with a lot of stations. But I guess fewer cashiers means more savings on food prices.

I miss the cashiers though, and the lines get too long for a couple of cashiers these days, and sometimes only one. It was nice talking with them a few years back and earlier. Many of the women were pretty and very kind and their relaxed attitude (no PC cultural baggage) reminded me of the 90's when people were nicer to each other. I guess I need to move out of the city. People are still that way in the country. I think some of the cashiers were from rural parts of Gresham, based on their friendliness that wasn't uptight and didn't project "entitlement."

I'm in my early 50's and it was nice to chat briefly with a woman in her early 20's. I never had a son or a daughter and it felt nice to have contact with the generation my kids would have been. Oh well. Time marches on. The computer is king now and people are strongly encouraged to serve themselves in all sorts of ways. Automated checkout stations are only one example of the greater whole.

I love this store and they have the best priced beef bone broth as well, which happens to be one the healthiest foods.

This place has THE BEST bulk bins in Portland. PERIOD. I also praise their large supply of unorthodox herbs and spices.

The store is nicely set up and easy to navigate. I carry a Costco membership, which has been great for the large barbecues and dinners I host.. but when I’m just looking for Greek yogurt and reasonably small quantities of varieties of fruit for my breakfast smoothies, or just a BIT of cheese.. or anything just for me, I go here. It’s not even in my neighborhood, but you won’t find better prices AND such a HUGE selection anywhere else!

The general environment is what you would expect from a discount wholesale market. I love how clean everything is, as well as I always find the restrooms clean and in stock. To anyone who are a bit claustrophobic, the aisles are spacious as well, so you won’t have to worry about getting to crowded or close with other people.

I love winco! Only bad thing is i was here on 6/24 and the lines were really backed up. Sharon was asked to help and she just stood around watching the checkers try to work fast instead of jumping on a register to help.

Best prices and good selection. I take the bus from downtown because the prices are worth the trip, and I'm lugging cat food and litter as well as groceries.

I Love Winco, it's a straightforward good old-fashioned grocery store. And it has an AWESOME bulk section. It could use more bulk spices, but overall it's great. And I believe it's Employee owned which is pretty cool. If anyone FROM Winco reads this, will y'all start carrying some goat dairy, yogurt and milk etc??

Love Winco 'cause they're always open, they have great selection, and are usually the cheapest grocery store by far. I especially appreciate the selection offered by their meat dept. You can find cuts here that you won't find anywhere else except the butcher. Niiiice. Also love the bulk bins(duh), and can't wait until they're open again! Now this may not necessarily be a topic that your average consumer/customer care to read about in the reviews section, but it is nevertheless another reason why I love this company, and that reason is-- how they treat their employees/employee benefits. Winco has some pretty amazing stories in regards to this, and is just one part of a growing body of evidence that shows how outdated our capitalist system is, and how it needs to be done away with altogether.

Been here several times in the past month and its always really clean. The food is better then grocery outlet for produce and the prices beat safeway hands down. The deli chicken is amazing and the checkout is pretty quick despite the lines. Can't do better for a local grocery store.

While it lacks bakery options it's convenient. I also gave five stars because my son had a major meltdown while checking out and the cashier took the time to try to help calm him down. She was an absolute angel.

A peaceful music-free shopping experience. I interacted with 3 employees and all were kind and respectful. And the prices… seriously good.
