This place is kinda a Humboldt gem.
We've been buying shoes for my kiddo here for years and I just got a new pair of shoes today. It's not super fancy, but I always feel like there's a great selection of quality shoes that hold up nicely. The owner, Mike, is super patient, knowledgeable and kind. He definitely knows his shoes and makes sure to help you find the right pair.

Best running shop experience I've had as a newer runner with a ton of questions. The owner was patient and very kind with his time. He walked me through picking out some insoles to help ease my posterior shin splints. Made me feel very welcome and comfortable. The shop had a wide variety of gear options for any runner. I am very appreciative of his knowledge and so are my shins. Can't thank them enough.

This family business is the best running shoe store in the world. The owner couldn't be more knowledgeable or friendlier. All of the employees are runners. The prices are competitive. If you want your shoes to fit properly, go buy them at the Jogg'n shoppe.

I have been buying my tennis shoes here for as along as I can remember. I have lived in Humboldt for over 30 years. Is the store fancy? No. Does it focus on creating an experience when you go shopping? No. Does the owner know his stuff and works to find you the perfect shoe? absolutely. Does the owner try to upsell you on things you do not need? No. Does he carry quality goods? Yes. This is a true small business that is worthy of your support. A community member sharing his passion with running and fitness making sure your shoes can meet your needs. I love this little store in Arcata. I live in Eureka and its one of the few stores that get me across the safety corridor. If you need new Tennies...I would encourage you to stop googling and instead head over to the Jogg N Shoppe in Arcata. They will help you find what you need whether you are new to fitness or veteran athlete.

We love this place! We get our kids athletic shoes here every single year and always at a wonderful price. They are great quality and last us until the kids grow out of them. Thank you for running a good honest business and being fair to families.

I won't go anywhere else for running/walking/hiking shoes or gear. Always the best service, selection and prices in the area. Mike is a gift to our local running scene & culture, for much more than just shoes, and he'll always treat you right. I feel guilty every time I buy clearance shoes online; I really should be going here more often.

I went in to get a new pair of running shoes to help me with plantar fasciitis. The owner helped me pick out shoes that work for my supination and gave me a deal on the pair. I encourage everyone to share their running experiences and goals with the owner as he has a ton of experience coaching university cross country.

Nice store with great customer service. The salesman was friendly and very helpful. The shoes I got had a small problem from factory and he immediately offered to replace my pair that were used a couple of times already. I left the store 200% satisfied and do recommend the store.

Mike's great, it's a great shop, and it's a great place to meet up with other runners. They've also got cleats, clothes, and just about anything else you could think of for an athlete. I don't even live in Humboldt regularly anymore, but I always come back to this shop. I can't recommend this place enough!

Mike is friendly and energetic and just all around good folk. If you run in or around Arcata you know this is the place to go. Great shoe selection as well, even for those of us with harder to find sizes.

I went to the Jogg'n Shoppe for the first time in years yesterday to buy a good pair of walking shoes and some new sports socks. I used to buy most of my shoes at this store, but in recent years decided to go through the Internet, as I found it to be much less expensive. After I encountered one too many problems with the "bargain" shoes on the Internet, I decided to try my local store once again. I told the extremely nice gentleman who helped me this story and he thanked me and gave me an incredible discount on my purchase. It is hard to find good customer service these days, so when I do find it, I feel it only fair to let the world know. I'm sorry I didn't catch the man's name who helped me, but you can be sure you have found a customer for life in me. I will also make sure I spread the word about the great quality and service your shop provides.
