Matt's Game Exchange

Pretty good store. Employees were friendly, prices were fair and is overall a really good option if you are looking for a retro game store. Edit: I returned because of how good the place was last time I was here. I was initially a bit worried because of the bad reviews it was getting ever since it moved. I ended up being pleasantly surprised. In fact, it ended up being better than last time. Employees were nice, despite some reviews saying otherwise. They even cleaned all the games with an Q-tip! The game library has been improved and the prices are still good. Don't let the other reviews scare you, this is still a great video game store! (Ignore the prices on the Kinect games, they actually cost $2.)

Matt’s game exchange is an excellent store. They have a wide variety of games and accessories. The staff is always friendly and helpful. They always have a good variety of retro games Their prices are almost always on par with price charting/game eye.

This is better than Lost ark video games Because Matt’s game exchange actually Prices they’re games for a decent price while lost ark makes it so dang expensive like 50 dollars for a Mario game while Matt’s game exchange sells Mario Galaxy for 25 dollars I love Matt’s game exchange!

This place has satisfied me every time I come to it. (Once only came twice though) It's the best place and it's much better than trying to look on eBay for a good deal. This place has it. I especially like their retro games. (GameCube Games Specifically)

Such a great fun games store with amazing prices on Game Boy and DS games. Pokémon games for less than $50 kind of amazing prices. They also fix stuff and are just very kind.

This store is my entire life of gaming in one building! They have everything! From old school to new school. This is the spot for your nostalgia meter to hit 100% for sure! I couldn't believe the massive selection, plus tons of rare games that you will not find anywhere else. If you are a true gamer and have not been here yet, you NEED to come check it out!
I brought in a PS3 Slim that was given to me, and I didn't know if it worked. They gladly updated it and it functions perfectly. And...no charge! 5 STARS ALL DAY!

We love so much about this place. The guys are always very helpful with exchanges, and helping my son find things he is looking for, or giving him ideas of new things to try (harder with the vintage sets that he has). We’ve bought several consoles from them and they have all been in excellent working condition. Any issues we’ve had with games that didn’t work or things that needed to be replaced were taken care of or we were given the option of a full refund. They are truly awesome!

These guys have an amazing selection of older games and accessories and super friendly staff! They have a nice selection of rarer stuff as well. fair prices and excellent service! I will be back very soon!

Just about always have the games I need got some hard workers up there and they know what they are talking about very fair prices as well. :Update: got a saga genese for 40 bucks and can actually get good quality games

We brought in our Xbox One after it had some issues staying on. I called around to game repair places in Greensboro, and Matt's Game Exchange was up front about possible costs and offered a 1-3 day turnaround (which was both cheaper and WAY less time than other places saying they wouldn't look at it for ~2 weeks and it'd be a few hundred bucks). We brought it in right after. The person running the store was so kind, helpful, and efficient. He diagnosed the problem within a few minutes, and had what we needed in stock for a fair price.. we ended up walking out not even 10 minutes later with our Xbox and the equipment we needed. Excellent customer service, and seeing all the awesome games in stock was neat too. We will be back!!

They helped me fix my controller. The audio plug got stuck in the jack, and the guy at the counter was super helpful and got it out for me. Very nice guy. They also have a fun selection of pokemon/anime stickers! So we bought some of those too.

I came in looking for something specific that I couldn't find at my normal shop and I was able to get what I needed very quickly.

The guy running the place was pretty friendly and helpful in helping me find what I was looking for. It was really organized and fairly priced which is never the case with these kinds of shops.

What a great store love the retro feeling of the store. Great staff Eric was a great help, and quick. A screw that holds the ssd in was stripped and they got it out within minutes, what a relief. Once again great store

First off thank you so much!!!!!! I have a ps5 and Xbox series x that didn’t have any power going to it. I had gotten a person to look at it and they said it was the motherboard and it was nothing I can really do. I said before I give up get one more opinion and I chose the right people. They said it was a 50/50 chance that it was the motherboard or power supply but that they still will look at it. 25$ deposit and they went to work. They worked with me with updates about 2 weeks later I got my Xbox series x working perfectly and cleanly work nothing noticeably was different. Today just got my ps5 and it works like a charm. Thank you to Matt’s Game Exchange for just giving it a chance to see if it was something else before calling it a fail. I will be coming back for more business down the road

This place is awesome. It's like walking into a nostalgic time capsule. I've dealt with Eric every time I've been in and he is always friendly, knowledgeable and reasonable. I definitely felt like a friend in there
