Half Price Books

This store is clean and well-organized, quiet and well-stocked. There are all kinds of books for kids, teens and adults organized by genre, including "nostalgia" for historical books and even decorative spine books. I saw sections for self help, teacher curriculum, fitness and humor and more in addition to the standard fiction and non-fiction genres. They have a section for new release books as well. The store also has tons of records, DVDs, CDs, puzzles, games and of course a counter to sell your books. I haven't sold any at this location, but I do know that (when selling items to HPB) they give you the best deal they can based on the availability and demand of your items and the projected sale price. The cashier told me before ringing me up that they do not have plastic bags, which I really appreciated (eco-friendly!). I had a bunch of books and they let me take the shopping cart out to my car to load up. Be sure to compare the prices you see in-store to those online. Occasionally you'll get a better deal on Amazon. I'll definitely visit again!

My daughter remembered on a Sunday afternoon that she needed a book for school on Monday. She called Half Price books and aak for the book , they kept the book on hold, we drove, picked it up and came back home. It was a great and fast service , definitely we will comeback for more books. In a day of immediate access and information overload, truly appreciate half-price books being a rock for the timeless meditative practice of reading through a whole book. Pick up a biography at a great discount price or an old record and relive an experience anew. Half Price Books for prez!

This is, in my opinion, the best half price books store in San Antonio. Quality assortment of products and a regularly rotated clearance section. Easy parking lot to get in and out of.

It's a bigger store. Nice and neat. They had the books my children like. Win win for us.

What a fantastic selection this location has! The genre I read usually has a small selection and it’s hit or miss but this location had much to choose from. Will be back soon

Every half price book store gets 5 stars from me. I haven't been disappointed yet! At this one, I found the only Jim Morrison/The Doors CD that I didn't own! Also a Motley Crue CD that had all my favorite songs by them!

Huge selection of books & media to look through! This location is about twice as big as many of the local locations, so when I'm nearby, I always have to take a look!

It was our first time selling our old books they were super friendly and straight to the point, pricing was reasonable since they also need to make money out of it. It's very clean and organized definitely prefer them over Barns and Nobles. Just went to sell but ended up buying a book they have amazing options its so hard to not buy 8 at a time and go broke

Easily one of the best book stores ever! You can find new books as well as a ton of used ones in fantastic condition. Used books are awesome and some of the most pristine books in my collection, not to mention hard to find, I have found through Half Price Books! Bar none my favorite book store!
