This place is amazing!! I used to come here before the remodel, but now the layout is much better. They have a good selection of wines and spirits. If you’re into tiki mugs, shirts, or memorabilia, they have that too. Walk-in the cooler for the beer guys too. Check out my pics. I would come here just for the ambiance. 🏝🏴‍☠🥥🌴
Johnny is the go-to person if he’s working, he’ll help you with whatever you need and is really friendly.

Mort's has a new walk-in beer cooler that looks awesome AND has a great selection of brews. I can't wait for next summer, where I can go in, peruse the selection, and cool off during a heat wave. ;)

Had to stop by to get the Trader Mort's tiki mug. It will be fabulous for my tropical drinks. Also got some Trader Vik's Dark rum. I notice they have a large variety of small alcohol bottles and lots of picnic supplies and food.

We live close by for 13 years now and don’t give these guys the applause that they deserve. They are friendly and knowledgeable and most importantly willing to help if they can! Whether you’re looking for something special or knowledge in general someone will do their best to help! And honestly isn’t that what we all need right now?!! Stop in and look over their excellent wine and liquor choices; most likely you will leave with something good!

This place is pretty cool, I've seen some negative reviews but, I thought it was fine. They also sell tiki mugs here too. Now, I'm gonna tell the story behind the tiki in the front. The tiki in the front of the building, known as Mr. Tiki, was carved by a famous tiki artist named Eli Hedley in the 1950s and was originally 10ft tall. Some time ago the tiki was stolen and was missing for two years before returning to its home. I would suggest going here if you're into tiki and are in town!

You won’t get a better slice of Shelter Island than you can at Trader Mort’s! Over the years the stock of tiki mugs and shirts have dwindled but stop on by to check it out! I also go with an eye on those items and sometimes find myself lucky and if I’m not so lucky... I usually settle for a frozen Reese’s and/or a bottle of rum. It’s a win/win situation.

Beer, candy bars and bait what puts it over the fourth star is the good service. Got a Trader Mort's shirt to commemorate our time there.
