I am a sports chiropractor and Ironman triathlete. I trust the staff here. They are very knowledgeable and just super nice. Especially Chris the store manager! The have a great selection of shoes especially Hoka which is my personal favorite. I buy all of my running shoes from them!

best place for all your running & wrestling heck workout needs & the best shades in all of IL…..not to mention the staff (Angela) is the most helpful & non judgmental human i have ever met…! she makes you feel so welcomed the moment you walk in the store to the time you leave for that you will always have my business!! I was really impressed with how dedicated and patient Austin was in helping me find the right shoe. After I explained my sciatica pain and watching how I walk, Austin brought out around 8 different pairs of shoes that he thought would be best and explained each shoe to me. I never experienced this kind of service before and left feeling great about my purchase. Thanks a bunch, Austin! I highly recommend this store to anyone serious about finding the right shoe.

The staff here is awesome they will help and get you fitted with the right shoes and they don't push you to buy or try to sell you the most expensive gear as a result I'm a life long shopper there .l If you need good shoes for track or just running or jogging you absolutely need to go there !!!!

Went here on a friend's recommendation and they legit changed my life. They measure you're feet and look at the way you walk to help you find the right shoes. It's not cheap, but I've been able to walk without pain for the first time in years. So it's more than worth it.

Went in to get some good shoes for my clinical rotations and my job waitressing. Chris was fantastic, friendly, knowledgeable and helped me find shoes that had the support I need. Even though the shoe I had come in wanting to try didn’t have the support I needed he found one of the same brand that had some of what I needed for me to try on to see if I even liked how they felt (I did not haha). I definitely will be returning when I wear this pair out!

Great fast and friendly service. The staff know their business. The will check your gait to make sure you are getting the correct shoe for your needs. We have bought cross country shoes for three kids there for four years. We could not be more satisfied with everything.

The sales associates are so friendly and knowledgeable. The store is clean and well laid out. If you're looking for Hokas, this is the place to go! If they don't your size, they'll get it from another store.

I was skeptical about the idea, that they can really find the best running shoes for me.
But they did.
My knee pain, hip pain is gone, even if I run on concrete.

If I could give 100 stars I would! Chris was amazing. I was all over Chicago today looking for the 'right' shoes my doc recommended, and having zero luck, when I finally found Dick Pond. Not only did they help me find the right shoe, they educated me on why I needed what I needed, and what's going to work best for me. They were so patient and accommodating. The places I had been prior to here were rolling their eyes when I needed more than one shoe, and weren't very versed in shoes all at. This guy Chris was very well versed in shoes and feet, and although he was speaking Chinese at first, he articulated the ins and outs of shoes so well that I actually learned a lot from him! 10/10 recommend buying shoes from him and positive I will be going back!!!

As far as the shoes themselves, I LOVE THEM.
My pain was instantly better when I put them on, and, as I told Chris, I feel like I'm walking on a cloud! They must of brought out 6-7 styles/brands of shoes to see wich ones would be best and I chose the New Balance 860.
Two hours in and I have zero pain in my feet. Seriously have never been more satisfied with a shoe in my life. Thanks guys!

I stopped in to Dick Pond last night to discuss knee pain I have been experiencing since I started the adventure of running 3 weeks ago. Mark was so helpful. He watched me run in the shoes I purchased 3 weeks ago and had me try on other shoes until he found a shoe that he thought would (hopefully) be easier on my knees. No issue with taking the first shoes back and damaging out ( I felt bad about that but he assured me he wanted me to be able to run and not be in pain). I will always support this business vs. buying online; they truly provide one of a kind customer service and great shoes. Thanks for your help, Mark!

Been buying all of my running shoes from DP for years. I love the selection and service I receive. Chris and his team are very knowledgeable and take their time to assist your needs.

The sales rep put me on the treadmill for gait analysis and brought me a few selections that matched my needs. There's room in the store to jog from end to end to feel the shoes out. They were helpful, no nonsense, and there was no upsell. I will buy my next running shoes here.

I love having a local running store that carries a nice variety of brands. The sales staff in this store are very knowledgeable and friendly. I was pleasantly surprised when I went in to buy a pair of winter running tights and two different sales people (I went in twice) encouraged me to buy the pair that was right for me, not the most expensive pair. (They were actually the least expensive option.)

I have to tell you that the sales person who helped me was very knowledgeable and passionate about running. She was pleasant and asked questions to help inform her on shoe choices. First time customer but will return.

This s a place that will sell you the right shoe. They take their time and fit you right the first time. However, that's only the beginning. These folks are friendly and truly engage you in conversation getting to know you. The hold a walking and running session every Monday and Wednesday. All are welcome. If you're a runner, walker, or sports athlete this s the only place you SHOULD go too. These people are awesome. You will not be disappointed!
