For all the people complaining about this location (pharmacy)….I dare you to go to any other location in Salem! We moved across town (towards Aumsville) and have come back to this location because of SO many issues with ALL of the other, more local, locations. Even the mail order option is a joke. The issues stem from corporate, not the individuals. Far far far less problems with the West location…thank you West folks for trying your best and being most helpful.

I love Walgreens its open until midnight which is awesome in its self its a bit on the expensive side but when your kid gets sick at 8 at night its awesome to have a place open at midnight.they have migraine meds cold medicine makeup candy Halloween decorations and walking canes and tons more I shop at the one in West Salem and you should too

A huge shout out to Kathy for being phenomenal and going above and beyond to help me and my daughter. That was the best experience we've had there through the last decade. Thank you for taking the time and showing us such kindness.

Fast and easy and always have what I need would highly recommend

Hello. As many of you can see there is a-lot of bad reviews. I understand. It's also kind of upsetting because every-time I go here it's very nice. The store is clean it could just use more registers and staff.

Update 11/30/22(There was a crown jewel I found in the pharmacy a man by the name of Rick who did everything by the book I suggest that Walgreens has every person Tech or otherwise who works in this Pharmacy to be trained by this fella and a retrained to make sure it sticks what an amazing guy,)Product prices are high. I have been shorted on Prescription count. Nothing is ever on the shelves if it's on sale. Almost no Variety of products.

This store needs help from upper management. Items are frequently out of stock, large percentage of employees appear to be new, with no knowledge of products and obviously not given any training. In the past, there was always an employee in cosmetics with knowledge of the products. She was very helpful in helping to select makeup, and other products. I recently went in to pick up a prescription which I needed immediately, but the pharmacy was closed and shuttered. I asked the employee at the front register (the only one I could find in the store), why it was shuttered. He shrugged and said, "It's closed?"

Whenever I was unable to locate something in the store, there was usually an employee available nearby to assist. The pharmacy staff work hard; but there's almost always a substantial wait, and the drive-up window wait time is ridiculous Prescription orders sent by my doctor frequently aren't received, according to pharmacy staff. I used to get automatic phone reminders of drugs that needed refill or needed

In comparison, the store on South Commercial is always well stocked, and someone with knowledge of the products is always close by to assist you. Unfortunately, that store is 5 miles away. So, switching stores is not an option.

Ugh!! There are very few pharmacy’s to choose from in West Salem so unfortunately this is the one I have to use but they NEVER answer the phone. They have messed up a controlled substance RX of mine by not giving me 40 additional pills. They did fix it but what a HUGE inconveniences to get home only to discover that I needed to turn right back around, put my baby back in the car, and wait in the line for 30 minutes to get their error fixed. They also take a long time to fill RX from the online portal. With a controlled substance you can only fill them close to the date that they are due, so the fact that it takes them so long to fill my RX creates a problem. If I had a better option on this side of the bridge I would take it but unfortunately their isn’t. The only reason I didn’t give them 1 star is because I know this is more of a corporate problem than a branch problem. They need more staff to make this pharmacy function properly and from what I understand, after the other pharmacy shut down in west Salem Walgreens never hired any more staff. So I don’t blame the people who work there, I blame Walgreens.

The store is great, but the pharmacy is a complete train wreck. Completely under staffed for the volume of customers you try to serve. Why don’t you try recruiting people with good pay to properly staff your store.

I use Walgreens to print out pictures for my business. I went in there today to pick up 2 pictures totaling .88 cents. I have been to Walgreens several times in the last month to pick up photos. The lady at the picture counter took 20 minutes to serve me. She completely avoided helping me for as long as she could. Then she refused to sell the two pictures to me and hassled me claiming they were professional and she wanted to copyright for the photos. I have no clue if they were professional or not- they were given to me by a client for my business. I am so over the poor customer service of walgreen photo. They never have anyone work the photo counter and it takes forever to find someone to help me. Then to get hassled is simply ridiculous. I came back home and ordered a photo printer. They lost a long time customer today. Nobody has time to do a 20 minute wait and to be hassled over pictures totaling under $1.00. I recommend using somewhere else to get your photos printed or do it from home. Avoid Walgreens photo at all costs!
