All of my communication with HME was over the phone or in-person. I want to publicly acknowledge the EXCELLENT service I received from Jesus Zamora when my husband came home from a skilled nursing facility for hospice care. Jesus worked with High Desert Hospice to see that everything my husband needed was delivered and set up quickly and efficiently, and explained clearly how to maintain the oxygen equipment and work with the hospital bed. He provided FIRST-RATE, compassionate customer service at a time when I needed it most. Thank you, Jesus!

They were quick to get me my medical equipment. They called me at 11:23am to confirm my information and they delivered it 1 hour later on a Sunday. The lady I spoke with was very nice.

I called HME on Monday to ask them how I go about getting a breast pump through my insurance company for my upcoming delivery. They said that I would need an Rx from my doctor. I contacted my doctor's office on Tuesday. Wednesday afternoon the doctor's office told me that they faxed an Rx to HME this morning. A few minutes later, an HME van showed up at my doorstep (I live in Alamogordo, by the way) and was there to deliver a breast pump! It was completely unexpected! I had no idea they were coming, or that it was going to come THAT FAST! OR that they even delivered! The delivery man was wearing a mask and asked that I wash my hands after handing me the pump. He was very curtious and made me feel like my safety was definitely a priority of his! Definitely recommend HME!

My husband was a Hospice patient and HME supplied all the equipment we needed at home. The delivery people were kind and courteous. The oxygen people were wonderful. We had a complicated oxygen situation and they came to our home several times to show us how to operate it. Very professional people and I would highly recommend them.

HME was the contractor for my mother’s hospice care and while I see negative reviews here, we had nothing but EXCEPTIONAL care and service. They worked seamlessly with the hospice and could not have been more efficient or caring. All the service people that came out to the house genuinely cared about both my parents and went out of their way to assist in any way they could. I’m sorry to see that others did not have this experience because I know for a fact there are numerous people there that are not only very good at what they do, but they are also truly good people.

Curtis is another lackey and minion who should be working elsewhere. He did not send my supplies for December nor January. And when I attempt to order supplies, HME (non) specialists say that they are having difficulties with shipping.
Please stop scamming the customers.
And Blue Cross Blue Shield are another group of underlings and servile rubbish.

The review is based on the quick service to my house (same day as my initital call) by service technician Anthony Munoz to replace an oxygen concentrator that was putting out a regular soft beeping sound; of course, in the middle of the night. HME management appears to be working on issues that they've had in the past; they don't take cash (!) but do take credit cards.

This is a five start review because of the actions taken by the HME team when things went wrong. Thanks to DeAnne Mancuso and Bill Wulfing at HME Specialists - they stopped a very busy day, and placed the needs of a frail elderly woman and her family in front of all their work, and solved a real problem. As a Licensed Nursing Facility Administrator, who like HME is in the business of helping families with difficult circumstances -This prompt caring effort is worth noting as Exceptional. Dee and Bill made sure the transition home went safely as planned, and the family knew their loved one really counts. Way to Go! team HME.

The gentleman that delivered my oxygen very courteous, kind polite well mannered. 10/10

I would give 5 stars if they didn't play horrifying music on hold LOL! However I can't say enough good about their delivery folks especially Israel and Kevin (otherwise known as the Kevinator 9000!). These guys delivered the needed equipment quickly and professionally. They each have come to my home three times and were an absolute pleasure, not only are they personable and informative they are a pleasure and do their job efficiently and quickly. HME's phone gets a one star but their delivery guys rate a 10 star with me! Thanks HME!

So far I have nothing but good to say about HME. Ellie provides services for 2 of us and she is fabulous! I had previously been sent to another provider in Las Cruces, and I received many months of horrible service, a refusal to provide replacement disposable supplies, and the poorest patient teaching I have ever encountered. I really appreciate the care and attention Ellie has provided and wouldn't hesitate to recommend her. I'll post an update if we encounter any problems, but so far so good!

I had the pleasure of working with Israel Solis a Field technician who exhibits a passion for what he does. I hope more people have an opportunity to work with this gentlemen and not be apprehensive over some of these negative reviews that display disdain for HME Specialists, LLC

i had some problems too. but it was with my dr's office, plus the sleep lab i was dealing with. sometimes you need to be a squeeky wheel. take matters in your own hands and hand carry things back and forth yourself. once i got all the paperwork in order and where it needed to be i had my machines in a couple hours. you have to remember they are just trying to make a living too. REMEMBER THE GOLDEN RULE your life will be much happier.

I also wish it was possible to give a zero.

1) Office smells slightly urine.
2) No one seems to know what's going on EVER. I called everyday for a week and spoke to the same gentleman named Marco every time. He was polite and friendly and NEVER ONCE remembered having spoken to me. REALLY? REALLY? Every day!
3) Can get the same story twice. This kinna goes with 2, but one person says yes they have it and you can pick it up as soon as they hear back from the insurance; the next person can't find your info at all; the next person tells you they are out of stock and it will be 2-3 weeks.
4) They deliver, which should be a plus unless no one told you they deliver (again spoke to Marco daily and even mentioned my husband would need to pick it up for me) and some one needs to be home to sign like 7 papers.

I called my doctor's office and calmly explained the situation and I would suggest using a competitor in the future. They said there are plenty and agreed.

Update: I have not been back to the office so I cannot say if the office smells better or us more organized. What I can say is that major customer service issues have been addressed. The new staff comes across as knowledgeable with a genuine desire to help. They are still routinely out of stock, but now try a lot harder to be helpful.

I'm still waiting for my portable little oxygen tanks I don't know what is going on but maybe I think they only hand pick people to help it's not good for business at all they should be open 24 hours a day 7 days a week but there not like they don't know how to run a business period

I would leave no stars if I could. Every single month I have an issue with getting my sons supplies on time. You have to constantly call and make sure that they are actually working on your order although they send a message saying they are working on it. They will always "mark it urgent" if they mess up and there is still absolutely no sense of urgency. They are very disorganized and need to communicate to eachother better because nobody knows anything about what is going on even if you constantly call. Go elsewhere if you have a choice because these people don't ever deliver on time or communicate if there's a setback with your order unless you call yourself! Wait times are 20+ minutes minimum every time.

If I could give less than a star I would. I've sent in my son's information to get his order started and we are now a month in and still have yet to recieve anything. I call weekly to check where the status is and they still ask for more info EVERY time I call. "We still need XYZ..." even after they confirmed that got everything they needed to process the order. It should not be this difficult to get an order in and delivered!
