I visited this state park last year while on vacation in New Mexico. The park was nice - I enjoyed walking around in the dessert. It was winter time when I went, so there weren't any plants blooming or anything. But, it was still relaxing and nice to see the dessert landscape. The park ranger on duty that day was also great. He gave lots of informative information about the park when my friend and I asked questions.

We didn’t have much time at the park since we arrived late. Visitors center was typical. Trail that we walked about a mile of was well maintained and relatively flat. Beautiful from what we saw. Talked to the park ranger for a few minutes and he was very friendly and informative. Will come back to finish exploring and give ourselves more time here. They close at 4pm.

The staff is fantastic, knowledgeable! (I bought a year pass to any NM State Park. Otherwise it is $5 per visit. $40 for the year! A good buy.) This is a BEAUTIFUL place. Places to sit, picnic, look at the birds at the feeders, the animals sipping the water at the watering saucers, all the gorgeous plants. Plenty of shade. Hiking, too. This is a jewel. Good clean bathrooms.

Nice and quiet park right next to the Rio Grande River. The park has nice trails and picnic tables. Pets have to be leashed. Fishing is also allowed. You pay at $5 fee at the entrance. Make sure you display the sticker on your vehicle.Overall great experience. Will visit again.

We hadn't been here before. Park attendant was very helpful. Limited services. Visitors center closed and some trails due to Covid. Also NM residents only. For now. Good place for bird watching and views. Peaceful

Wow I'm a local and have never been. 5 bucks to get in. If you don't have cash scan the QE code in the baord outdid the office. The park was recently on fire and seems to have some limitations. However for birds and bug lovers this is a amazing spot. I'll be coming back with my Nikon next week when they open the river.

Beautiful area, very well preserved. There was so much wildlife in the morning, and the park ranger was very informative! Very nice environment. Hike was easy, although some paths were not labeled and confusing.

Beautiful area and a wonderful escape from the heat as you walk along the river. There are many butterflies and other animals and plants to see that aren't so prevalent in the rest of the area.

Great small park for hikong and birding. Shoutout to Alex Mares, interpretive naturalist, who was super friendly and make our visit memorable.

Nice trails. The highlight of this park was the ranger who was falling all over himself excited to teach us all about his park and the surrounding area. We all got so much out of our time with him.

Awesome and excellent vistas for pictures. Nice walking trails. Was expecting to see the Rio Grande but surprised to see it isn't usually a river apparently since the 1920s

A very nice exhibit center explains the cultural and natural history, of the region. We visited in winter but in spring the gardens would be amazing. Nice walking trails. And a special thank you to the very helpful and kind ranger who directed us to which trail to take and gave us excellent recommendation of a place to eat in La Mesilla.

We didn't choose the best day for a hike at the Bosque. It was a bit windy and the river was dry. But it was a great day anyway. We wore ourselves out. I would definitely recommend it. A $5 parking fee, not bad. Lots of information about the areas including Dripping Springs and the Robledo Trackways. The Park Ranger was a hoot!

Very pretty park along the Rio Grande. Visited in November, so the riverbed was dry, which is actually a really cool sight, and you can go down into the riverbed. Friendly staff, and the visitor center area is very pretty and has lots of amenities.

I love this place! A picturesque beautiful NM Park, tucked in by the Rio Grande.
It's about a mile from Old Mesilla and has a really nice brick courtyard, fountain and buildings. We have hosted some of our meetings there and the staff and park superintendent, Jan, has always been very friendly and professional. Really nice walking trails and a bird lover's dream. Plan your next meeting/wedding here and you won't be disappointed ! David
