Rains Department Store

This was just like the department store I went to with my grandma in the town I grew up in. Lots of variety, convenient, really nice and knowledgeable salespeople. I was in Ojai 2 nights and went back several times for nostalgia and to support the type of business that used to be the backbone of small towns.

Highly recommend (they also carry local and inexpensive products for souvenirs)

Been going to Rains since we moved here early 80’s. It’s the perfect place to find a unique gift and even some locally made items and beautiful artwork!

This is a great place to find gifts. I especially love all the interesting cooking supplies. The employees are friendly and helpful.

My husband and I love this store! We have been assisted by many who work at the store and have always been treated wonderfully. If a special order is requested, they are prompt and "get it right" the first time. The merchandise is well selected and the range of sizes is very good. The durable goods are nice quality items and they always offer a few unique pieces that tantalize.

Thank you so much for having a store we love to come visit and always find one or more items we really wanted or needed. You are A-1!!!

Lovely store in ojai ca , you'll find a bit of everything here, the cashier was a little older lady who loves to chat, smile, tell you about herself, and will tell about some of her favorite spots to eat if you ask her. Ojai makes a great day trip.

We been driving through this little town for more than 30 years and never fail to stop by this gem of a general merchandise store. I admit we mostly don't buy a thing but there is now way we drive by and not stop and browse. Sometimes we find that unique gift " we always looked for"....and there it is.

The unique department store where you can get both everything you could ever want for your kitchen as well as men's and women's clothing. I just love their buyer. I always find something. There are a number of other smaller boutiques up and down that same Boulevard that also have really nice collections of clothing for women. Rains is my favorite.

One of our favorite stores to shop in Ojai. They carry lots of fun things to look at in garden & kitchen areas. They carry really nice plus size clothing for women. You can always find something you'll want as a take home souvenir or hostess gift here.

Always a good place to check first. I just bought a stainless steel thermos and a bird feeder. Was actually less money than Amazon. Keep it Local. Ojai Slow, be happy.

Always great to stop in Rains for anything and everything.. Ojai merch, patagonia, fun socks, pj sets, sweaters and hoodies, comfy slippers, great hiking boots and hiking gear, nice shoes and sandals, and the best discovery is they carry black 501 Levis for men! I also love their cards, jams, lotions, candles and selection of le cruiset.

Fun store with a variety of good quality items. Kitchen supplies, yard art, clothes, home gadgets and lots more. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Always enjoy going when visiting Ojai. DB/Valencia

Love to shop here for comfort in style. I find everything from clothes to my favorite mini electric fan. It's just fun to shop here. And it's in downtown Ojai.

Very nice store! I came to Ojai as a turist and I loved all the items they I have. Good quality, useful and many of the products are made in town. Recomended.
