Holy Name of Jesus Thrift Store

My husband and I recently visited Holy Name of Jesus Thrift Store. We are older and the friendly staff made special effort to help us. It is true that the prices are generally higher than a couple of years ago but they do have some unique items that would be well worth the price. Our only concern is no bathroom facilities. Perhaps a portable toilet could be set up outside the thrift shop for emergencies. We would also like to suggest that they consider posting on their website what dates specific items would be on special sale.

Sylvie and her store are incredibly nice with great finds. We love going here! She made my son's day with her good pricing on a helmet. Can't beat the good staff and fun finds.

Excellent selection of decorative items, clothes and furniture. You can find some real gems. Unfortunately some of the items are priced too high, you can definitely find the same cheaper online. Awesome staff though, very friendly, we'll be back every time we're in town!

I love this thrift store. My daughter and I went there yesterday and we had so much fun. We found a lot of good deals and I’m happy with everything I bought. The store is clean and neat and they have so much. The staff was great. This is definitely our go to Thrift Store.

This is one of the BEST thrift stores in the area. I stopped shopping here a couple years ago because the manager & a couple volunteers were sooo nasty , the store was cluttered & dirty & the prices were outrageous. I’m so happy to say that a neighbor told me awhile ago the staff & manager were new & it was much improved. Sylvie the manager is gracious & fair & extremely pleasant. The staff that was retained are the happy & nice people & the new staff she has now is amazing. I think they are volunteers but they must like working with Sylvie because it’s 100% improved. I’ve spend many $100 dollars there now because the store is well organized, clean, staff is pleasant & they have an amazing selection of great items. I hate shopping at box stores & love vintage & well made items with a history. Knowing that the money spent benefits a long time community church is a bonus! Thank you Sylvie & staff!!! I’ll be back soon.

This thrift store truly focuses on their goal of raising money to help people! Their prices are reasonable on very very high quality items- and it all goes towards helping people in our community! Also, the store is gorgeous and super clean, run by some amazing women and men United in their community service mission.

Everything is very reasonable prices.

The Holy Name of Jesus Thrift Store is the cleanest, most organized thrift store I have had the pleasure to shop in. I travel from Saint Cloud FL to shop there. I do that almost every six weeks and try to bring friends with me when I do. The variety and the prices are outstanding. I look forward to seeing what I can find each time I come and I usually find something that I cannot live without. Thank you for such a great store!!!

I started shopping here when I moved to the area to decorate my home.
Everyone who works there is so nice ,the store is so very clean and organized.
I have since ended up volunteering there it is such a pleasure to help and give back to such a great place that does so much for the community.

The HNJ Thrift Store is managed by two employees and a team of volunteers. The store is stocked with donated items which are sold with all proceeds going to charity. As examples, many of the proceeds are currently helping the Saint Stephen’s Way project for building and maintaining housing for the homeless, and the Saint Vincent de Paul’s Food Pantry which is collocated with the thrift store.

The employees and volunteers are happy to hear that most customers find us courteous and helpful, and that the store is inviting, nicely laid out, clean and well-organized. We work hard to maintain a pleasant shopping environment with an ever-changing and well-stocked selection of merchandise for our
customers.

We also appreciate those few customers who are dissatisfied with our store, services and pricing, but who do notice how well-researched our merchandise pricing is, in that we strive to stock as high-quality and as gently-used items as we can from our donations. To these few, we want you to know that we work very
hard to price our merchandise well below retail pricing for the same items when new, specifically so that our customers can benefit from our lower-than-retail pricing for almost-new items. It is necessary to review online pricing of some items to establish a baseline for store pricing. However, the online pricing (Amazon, eBay, etc.) is ONLY used as a baseline, not as a final thrift store price point.

We understand that our prices may not always allow resellers of our merchandise to receive as large a profit as they might like from our items. However, our purpose and mission is to deliver well-researched, quality items to our customers, with all proceeds from our sales being used to assist, feed and shelter
those in our community who are in need.

Given the wide variety of quality/value of donations, all items are checked, tested, cleaned, washed, and priced before putting them out onto the sales floor. The store’s inventory is based on a rotational business model. For example, designer label clothing may start in the Boutique, and after a few weeks be moved to
Clearance. There are also weekly sales of various items to be had. After a few weeks, some of the unsold items from our store are donated to other local non-profit organizations, and/or sent to developing nations.

The HNJ Thrift Store team is very appreciative of those who contribute by donating their items and to those who contribute by buying the items. Thank you to ALL for enhancing the lives of others!

Very efficient, very pleasant. They have the best variety for sale at great prices. Very clean and neat.

This is the first time shopping here and I've got to say, it's fantastic. This is one of the cleanest and most well organized thrift stores I've ever been in. The manager, staff, and volunteers were very friendly and helpful. Plus, I love how the pricing is done. For the more expensive items the online price range is listed then their price which is 50% -75% cheaper. They have weekly specials by color too so you can get even better deals on items which have been sitting there for a while.
Best of all... They have a craft closet! A WALK-IN craft closet! 20 minutes later I was balancing all my finds in my arms ready to check out.

HNJ is one of my favorite places to shop!!! In addition to always finding a lot of hidden treasures for great prices, the staff is very accommodating and makes me feel welcomed on every visit. Sylvie alway goes out of her way to greet me with a “Hello Beautiful!”
This store is highly recommended for anyone looking for a clean and friendly environment while looking hidden treasures.

This is a terrific thrift store. It's clean, well organized, and has friendly and helpful staff. Be prepared to pay a bit more than elsewhere but that's because there is no junk here; it's all quality items. Two thumbs up!

In addition to being conveniently located, and quite large, the shop has an extremely diverse and well stocked selection of goods and merchandise. I purchased a brand new Jerry Garcia necktie with the original sales tag still on it, that was normally $36 retail, and that I would have normally paid $16 for at a Steinmart, for $5. There are two white upholstered dining room chairs, that I've seen elsewhere for $125 to $150, for $32 each. And they have a HUGE selection of men's, women's and children's clothing, all of which are in excellent condition. The shop has been under new management since July 15th, and it definitely shows; its two buildings have been completely overhauled from top to bottom, side to side, and front to back, with every piece of merchandise having been sorted and reorganized into nicely set up departments that are now easy to shop through. The staff of volunteers is very helpful and friendly, especially the new manager, Sylvie, who goes out of her way to help her customers. I know that, in years past, this was a less than pleasant place to shop, however, the differences today are quite evident, and pretty amazing, and are, literally, like night and day. For anyone who may have visited the shop in the past, and who may not have liked the experience, I strongly recommend you visit there now. Ask for Sylvie or Janice, and you will be rewarded with exemplary service and a wonderful shopping experience.

Just an awesome place! The volunteers are wonderful and today's team was just a gaggle of fun and laughter. Sylvie, Mgr, has this place so well organized and clean. And is as sweet as can be.
